I have a quick question. I've had a look through the rules and I can't find anything that mentions this...
I'm pretty sure you are NOT allowed to write in different languages on this forum unless it expresses creativity (like your signature), on the boards that everybody can see/reply to, but how about writing in a different language privately? Like in your journal or your R/V thread... would that be allowed? Only I'm getting the urge to write in Italian, let everything out (because that is easier for me than writing in English for some reason) and I don't want to break any of the rules.

As far as I know, it's not allowed anywhere, including R&V/Journals, because of the risk of talking about other members behind their backs. I'm not saying you would do this, but it has been known and so I think it is not allowed, but don't quote me on that.
pretty sure it's not allowed in r/v, but don't see why it should matter in journals if they're on private and you don't have a buddy list - no one but mods can see it anyway.

There are places like LiveJournal which might be beneficial to you if you just want to rant/vent and do it in Italian.
^^^ But then the mods would have to check that what you'd written abov/ below did tally with what was written in English each time and pretty much the wole of it as it would be easy to add in an extra sentence in the middle of it or something that may be abusive or whatever and not translae that bit over so I'd not think that would be allowed. I know if I was in the FAF and someone started typing in a different language, even if they said they'd translated it all into english I'd want to get my own rough translation of it ALL done myself so that I was happy (not that ANYONE should have the need to speak in a different language in the FAF and that would go against the rules but I'm just saying it because I mod that forum whereas not the rest so if I'd do that in there then that would be my take on what other mods would do elsewhere but then I'm not a mod (or want to be!) and I haven't had their training and stuff, I just have mod powers in one forum to help with the work I need to do there.
So, in terms of forums, this would inc R&V. I personally wouldn't see the problem in a private journal with no buddies or in the journals at all but then I don't really know about that at all.
