I've been on a cruise ship and totally loved it.
There's always a lot of entertainment (well there's always something going on) and the buffet is never ending; there's so much to eat and wide variety to choose from.
It also depends what size boat you're travelling on because it can vary from boat to boat; if you went on the QE2, for example, you would never be bored, it's the biggest cruise ship.

Exciting for you :) Yay! Are you looking forward to it?
I really don't mean to poo-poo on your exciting news, but just wondering - how long do you actually get on the islands/in the places? This is what concerns me about cruises - I like the idea of a cruise but if you spend most of the time on the boat, wouldn't you save money if you just stayed in a nice hotel for the same length of time, if you don't really get to see much of the places you're visiting? But that's the cynic/general curiosity in me.

Cruises are generally thought of as moving, floating hotel/resort complexes. So it's not that much different than the people who go places but never leave the resort. Always puzzled me that.

No longer using this as main account. Only meets.

Yeah strange why you'd book a holiday but never leave the grounds of the hotel.
we go to these mini holiday parks and only one day if its bad weather do we stay on the resort.
it's like why book a trip to spain if your not even seeing spain and just sitting at your hotel all day every day

I am now not going to use this account as my main one from now on.
If you want my new account PM me. xxx

Im looking at going on a fjord cruise for my honeymoon. Its 7 days, only 3 days on land but apparently the fjord cruise is a lot more about the scenery than sight seeing on land. Im excited, let me know how yours goes!x

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.
