feeling old

feeling quite old,
but aware of not wanting to be agest
i was just in the chat room and someone said they were 14years old.
i feel very strange about this.
i think its the realisation of not knowing who i am talking to, how old they are.

i think its great, wish i had a place like this when i was 14, but it felt strange.

they are the same age as my youngest niece.
that didn't seem okay to me to be discussion how i feel with someone that age, but then they seemed to know how it felt. oh god confused.
then i think why am i confused?

Yes, it can be a bit odd. Which is why I hang out in vets so much and spend less time in chat and other boards.

I came to the chat and recently and ran into many younggg kids. I'm glad they have found this place, because I know I needed it at there age as well as now at 22. But it feels very odd. I just discovered the vets board and hope to run into some more people around my age so I don't feel like a complete old lady :)

Hi - I feel old at 53 to be on a forum where I don't really know who's who and what age they are but at the end of the day I'm sometimes just glad of a reply to stop me feeling so isolated. I still really struggle with SH on a daily basis but that's as hard for me as it is someone much younger as lots of the same issues are pertinent. I've come back to this site for support too as I'm finding life very hard and it's so helpful to chat to others who identify with you. I still don't think I'll be the oldest participant as I think SH haunts many of us.
