I just read Marley and Me life and love with the world's worst dog - it made me cry (I never cry at stuff like this but this book made me) Was a fab book.
**You walk on. You keep walking, straight into the darkness. You walk on, and eventually, a ray of light will pierce the darkness, and you'll know which way to go.**
Right now, Im reading the "Windup Bird Chronicle" by Haruki Murakami and Im too lazy to look if I spelled his name right or not but its really good so far.
I really want to read The God Delusion though, just dont have to money to get it yet ergh.
I'm reading Rosie Meadows Regrets by Catherine Alliot. I think it's a brilliant book and find it hard to put down! It's been out for quite a while but somebody gave it to me a few weeks ago and I've really loved reading it.
I just read "The Marriege of Heaven and Hell" by William Blake and am reading now "The Case of Charles Dexter Ward" by H.P. Lovecraft which I love. Kafka's "La Metamorfosis" and "The Idiot" by Dostoyevsky will soon follow...
"...that incremental suicide of turning your life into a dream, to make being awake as similar to sleep as possible. Drowsily, lazily, dry-mouth your way through the day's ceremonies, fumble your way back into the dew-bather you never really left, draped in brown, brown now all around, the haze!" - Russell Brand on drug addiction.
"Si ma êkh gûndo piyiamásko...ándo bírto barruno. Bírto, bírto barruno."
Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn YOU'RE NOT ALONE
I'm almost finished with A Clockwork Orange. Very interesting book, with a very "evil" main character. I love the language Anthony Burgess creates, and the philosophy in it (the novel).
Ooh, I just finished that. I really liked it.
But I also read GLASS by Ellen Hopkins. I love her books, I really liked IMPULSE, too.
Let's put a smile on that face
We are not alone
Find out when your cover's blown
There'll be somebody there to break your fall
We are not alone
'Cause when you cut down to the bone
We're really not so different after all
Cutting by Steven Levenkron, really nice book on self-mutilation. Only problem I found is that it should be a little updated but other than that it's ace.
