My only addition to this thread is that I am also a pro at killing cacti. I'm not sure what exactly I did wrong, but all of mine died off over the years. I used to have loads. My mother killed one on purpose, because she hated it. It had these really nasty spines with hooks, so you couldn't get them out of your skin other than breaking it off really close to the skin. She put it out into the garden in winter. It didn't appreciate it. Oh, also, all my cacti had names. Last to die was Albert. I liked Albert. :'(
Have you started on the ones I got you for christmas?
I can imagine that flowers smell nicer than people when burnt.
Watering and providing sustenance will allow anything to flourish, I suppose the key is to only water those things that will nourish you, allow anything else to wither.
I am pretty useless with plants. We were given a house plant as a housewarming gift last year (how very grown up and mature we are! I was expecting booze not plants and photo frames!). The plant is just about hanging on, but doesn't look too healthy and I don't really know how to persuade it to cheer up a bit!
Also...people smell like pork when burning apparently. I won't be testing that theory though.
Hi Irene <3 Ama, you're an interesting girl and a little crazy at times, but you're a good person. Those of us who care about you will always defend you if anyone tried to hurt you. Keep knitting and keep planting.
Mike have to tried lightening the room with lights? I have some rather fetching star shaped fairy lights in my living room that brighten up the place pretty well.
