Personal Piece- Contains upsetting material - Misunderstandings
When trying to save the world,
what hinders my heroics,
turns the tables of perspective,
making me into the evil.
A superpower that nulls all others,
blame and it's elusive shifting,
is an unpredictable weapon,
but a weapon all the same.
For some odd reason,
genuine is frowned upon,
misunderstood and mistaken
as damaged and unfixable.
Misunderstandings
cause esteems to drop,
and tempers to rise,
into what will be a monsoon of hatred.
it caused terror and pity,
to mix and conjoin into
confusion and desperation
for an escape.
It caused me to want
to become one with the void,
take my contributions to
another world; another life.
Gone unappreciated and
taken advantage of for
far too long,
but no more.
An escape route
will show it's whereabouts
and whisk me away
from the wasteland in which I was born.
