I am currently:
Wound Care Question - clay in cuts?

umm so today i was in ceramics class (i have it every day) and i got clay into all the cuts i have on my hand/fingers. i tried to clean it out but after 4 tries its still in there. my cuts arnt too deep but their deep enough. how do i get the clay out? or is it ok to just leave it?

I am currently:

Umm. I've heard of clay being used on injuries, but it has to be 'special' clay. Maybe try and soak in the bath to get it out?

I guess it depends how much it in there; my sister got a little piece of grit in a cut as a kid, and you can still see it under the skin (a little black dot at the edge of a scar).

I am currently:

i know its not special clay. theres not that much in them......but now theirs paint in them. is there any way to bandage them that is realy inconspicus there on the back of my fingers

I am currently:

I agree with the above. When i had my ceramics I wore gloves... needs an excise? Tell them it dries your hands out too much...
Clay used to dry my ssistes hands out so bad it would start cracking on her palms...
