I've been reading so slowly lately. Watching Doctor Who online is taking up far too much of my time.
Anyway, I just finished The End of the Tether by Joseph Conrad. It drags a bit now and then, but it's still pretty great, and definitely needs to be read more than once. I won't spoil anything, but it has one of the greatest twists in the history or literature, in my opinion anyway.
Moving on, finally, to re-reading Junky by William S. Burroughs.
Finished When We Were Orphans. I really liked it, I thought it was a really beautifully written book. Have been reading I Was Bono's Doppleganger alongside it, which is ace. I totally wouldn't normally read something like that, but I'm really liking it, and it's so funny.
I don't honestly know why I'm doing it to myself. It's so so triggering and I'm really not enjoying the way it's written. But it's one of those books that people always tell you to read, and think slightly less of you if you haven't.
On to some chick lit next though. Treating myself ;)
I'm still reading too damn slowly for my liking, but I just finished Junky by William S. Burroughs.
Moving on to The Castle by Franz Kafka. I've read a few of his short stories and loved them all (to the point that Kafka has become one of my biggest influences), but I've never read any of his novels.

I really liked Kafka's short stories, especially 'The metamorphosis' and 'The hunger artist'.I found them triggering though (I'm very easily triggered),maybe because I knew Kafka probably had an eating disorder. But they are very beautifully well-written and his emotions & feelings just burst out.
On another note,we seem to have similar readings :).
