Mental Health Documentaries *trigger*

There's going to be a mh documentary on 5th July BBC One at 9 pm (unless you live in Wales when it's on 10.45 pm).

The description is the following:-

With unique access to the biggest mh service in the UK, Panorama reveals the challenges faced daily by clinicians as demand for services reaches unprecedented levels post pandemic.

Should be available on iplayer afterwards. May be triggering so take care if you're gonna watch it.

Thanks Dawn. I have Panorama on my watch list on iPlayer so hopefully I won't forget to watch it.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

Don't try to calm the storm, calm yourself, the storm will pass.

You didn't come this far just to come this far.

It appears to have been cancelled as instead of Panorama it's now showing as a repeat of Who Do You Think You Are on my TV listing. It doesn't seem to be on a different day this week. Strange.

Might have been rescheduled if the tennis went on too late on that channel.

It's supposed to have been on today so unless you are psychic then it's nothing to do with the tennis.

I misunderstood then. I thought when you said it wasn't on "now" you meant right at that moment as if you'd tuned in to watch.

Nevermind.

Katie Price: Trauma and Me - MH documentary

There's going to be a mh documentary on the 8th September 9 pm Channel 4. Probably going to be repeated on 4/7 and available on 4od.

The description is as follows

Katie Price speaks candidly about her diagnosis of PTSD, as she explores what drove her to total breaking point and what steps she's now taking to prevent her a return to those dark days.

Take care if you're gonna watch it as it may be triggering.

Thanks Dawn. I will probably watch it. Where do you get all the info so early? I usually only know about these things a couple of days before.

My satelite box allows me to see a week in advance what's on the telly. I always see what's on a week in advance so that I can plan tv watching/recording. I can see the whole of a day hence why I know what's on. I can also see every bbc region but not itv other than itv Wales so I can check for regional differences.

Becoming Dad - MH documentary

On 14th of November at 8.30 pm there's going to be a mh documentary. The description is as follows

One in ten dads in the UK struggles with post natal depression yet it often goes unacknowledged. This film follows Elliott Rae's campaign to get more mh support for dads.

It's being shown on BBC 1 in England only with the exception of BBC 1 North East and Cumbria where, along with BBC Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland it's not being shown. If you live in one of those regions and don't have access to another region it should be available on iplayer afterwards.

The description is as follows:-

Zara McDermott: Disordered Eating - ED documentary

Now I am aware that I usually post about mh documentaries but been as many of us, myself included, suffer from an ED I thought people might be interested.

Basically there's going to be an ED documentary. It is going to be on BBC Three on 22nd November at 9 pm. It may be shown on other days and will probably be available on iplayer. I will update this thread if there's any further showings.

The description is as follows

Record numbers of young people are being treated for EDs. Zara McDermott explores the reasons behind this explosion and asks if social media is part of the problem.

May be triggering so take care if you're gonna watch this.
