Speech Topic Anyone?

I have to give an informative speech with visual aid next week and I need a couple interesting ideas for topics. I am horrible at trying to come up with something interesting to write or talk about.

Anyone?

(:

I did a speech on the Applications Of High School Mathematics. I ranted on about how useless most of the stuff we are taught in school is, made it funny, and got an A plus =]

Probably not a good idea. This professor is very pro education. She might get the impression that I'm saying "What you're teaching me is useless." Although it's definitely true.....I still want an A.

Good idea though. I can imagine it was funny.

Oh, umm... The only advice I can give then is make it funny. People like funny. I also did a speech on religion, but that got a C because ONE girl got a bit hysterical.

myabe pick something fun with an education side to it, just from what i did before, how computer games can help people learn things, eg the educational games like brain trianing and that.

Basically something you find intesting.

Preferably something that you already know a lot about and/or something you find interesting. Easier with the research.

I agree with oxymoron. Always easier to do it on something you are interested it! Are there any other requirements. How long does it need to be?

If you need to lead discussion afterwards as well you could use a rather controversial topic. That way there's almost certainly going to be some disagreement in opinion amongst the class. What are the assessment objectives for this? x
