Why were all the theme tunes so much better in the '80s and '90s?!

The Fireman Sam theme tune used to confuse the young me no end. The bit where it says his engine is "bright and clean", I ALWAYS heard "bright green". And then it was the mental process of 'but it's red!, argh, I don't understand!'.

Both of those. I liked WWW in Gaelic as well, it was always cheery. Talking of Gaelic, one for the Scots: Dot-A-Man!

I remember reading Kipper but not the TV programme.

Does anyone remember Spot the Dog?

Spot, Spot, the loveable Spot,
He's soft and cuddly and he smiles alot,
If there ever was a dog to cheer you up,
It's Spot, Spot, Spot
do do dooo

That is how I remember it off the top of my head lol... I'm so cool it hurts!

Clearly I watched too much TV as a kid, I recognised every last one of these shows and felt nostalgic over it.

Anyone remember this?

I loved the raggy dolls. It was my fave show at one point.
It's theme song is still relevant, we need more shows with positive messages like that. There aren't enough of them these days.
