Also guilty as charged. I think I had a dock off picture of the Scream possibly a fair few Evanescence quotes and I don't even want to think what else!

Lol I know the group. It was one of the good things I thought. I always wondered what happened to those twins. I guess they were like Justin Bieber (who was in my area this week) and hit the top, got overexposed and people people got tired of them

My sis was obsessed with those twins when she was growing up from when they were in Full House.

I can remember coming on RYL and being 0_0 at the Olsen twins!

I can't recall that club Sarah I remember the Queendom!

I saw the third sister and actress only last month - pretty girl. I thought the Olsens were good looking kids when they grew up. As kids they looked like frogs or embyos or something lol. I know they are still rich and not doing poorly but I dont see the visible signs of fandom. For kids who were like global celebs their pics have just vanished from social media I see

Only just come across this so have a few things to add:
-Please be careful about making the documentary too widespread - I know a lot of the people who were in it don't want it to be in the public spotlight anymore as they're all older and getting on with their lives. The documentary was only supposed to be aired once and channel 4 broke that agreement which pissed off quite a few of the people involved.

-I have a copy of the documentary and it makes me sad to watch. I miss the v2 days so so much. Me and Abigail were so close back then - I'd love to know where she is now and how she's doing. And I thought the world of Libby too - I miss her so much.

-Harley's left RYL?? When did that happen?? Anyone know why??

-I agree that the criteria for supporters has got stricter. I was head of live help back for a while but would probably struggle to become a supporter now.

The club had the world "angels" in the title :p

but I remember Esther's Queendom! It was the best place to be.

I miss Esther. Not seen her in years and years. I think she was the first ever person I met in London on a meet (my first meet was Essex meet and Fox was the first person I met).

It doesn't matter where you come from; it matters where you go.
No-one gets remembered for the things they didn't do.
We won't all be here this time next year,

I do hope that anyone who has made a mistake in the past (breaking rules for instance) and have paid their price (e.g., a ban) don't get disregarded as a helper when a year or two (or more) have past and they have followed the rules. We all mess up but it would be a shame for that to be held against them.
I know this is a while ago now but just a couple of points.

In regards to the recruitment process, the thing is that the only people who really know how the process works is the moderators and former mods and it has,in general, worked very well in regards to finding moderators. If you are aware of members who have applied and been knocked back there will always be a reasons, perhaps one they haven't divulged to you. We always look out for new mods because we actually want a larger team, spreads out the workload.

Second point is that in regards to infractions, the forum mods have always been more wary of recruiting those who have infractions because of the amount of sensitive information they would be able to find and that could cause a lot of upset so the forum mods have to be very rigorous when choosing, however that does not mean those with previous infractions will not be considered.

The chat mods however do not take such a strict view to those who have infractions, mainly because chat mods have a much higher burn out rate so we don't have the luxury of vetoing for that reason! We also have a slightly different criteria when looking for mods then the forum mods. Sometimes it's interesting being on both teams to see the little differences.

On another note if anyone would like to be a chat mod we are always on the look out as our team is smaller than we would like and have chosen people before who have said they would like to be involved so it's always worth a PM to myself or Alex (Zankou)

Perhaps all this cotton wool has brainwashed me, but... some people have stated that you used to be able to post weights, BMIs, cut lengths. As much as I believe the "real world" is a scary place and you shouldn't avoid triggers... I can honestly say I don't think I would come here if the rules were as, well, lax as they used to be. I do come here for support and to speak to like-minded people, but... seeing cuts/reading detailed weights just makes me feel bad or sad and things. And I already have life to do that to me, so... a place on the internet that further exposes me to things that make me feel bad doesn't seem like a pleasing prospect.

I hope I make sense!

I wouldn't say RYL was lax exactly. Any graphic stuff was limited to Serious. The ED stuff was part of ED forum. The ED forum had stricter rules - which were them spread to everywhere else so that even common news articles were deemed deadly. Alas polls in ED forum showed 90% of members were going to pro sites anyway. Now Ruin could be graphic but Ruin also did a better job of motivating people to get better. Some kids were scared into remission lol

Sometimes its only the reality factor and scare factor that works especially on younger people. I know some people who, if they had realised the real consequences would not have gone down the self harm route. Not saying this is the same for everybody.
