We've always had animals so it's fine.
The dogs bark a ridiculous amount though!

Well done for getting up! I know you struggle with that sometimes. How was the review?

Yeah that's a good point!

Not that busy really.
Though i have finally unpacked! And threw away loads of t shirts that don't fit. I have kept a couple though for hair dying/lounging round the house purposes though!

House sitting is fine. It's just that they live in the middle of nowhere so I'll just be really isolated! Which is tough because I'm quite a social person! The only place i could walk is the co-op or country park. Which is nice once or twice, but not every day for a week.

I'm unsure whether I'll be seeing my friend, its raining and there is thunder! She doesn't finish until 6 so I'll see what the situation is.
I bet they'll be having a fun time. It's street food heroes, so street food vans in the garden, always rammed. Idk how it's going with all the rain! Only some of outside is under shelter!

Ooh cornflake crispies! Yum!

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

Thanks for the well wishes everyone.

I have bourbon biscuits if anyone wants one.

Cornflake crispies are awesome. Which reminds me Beckie you said to remind you to make cornflake cakes when you got out of hospital so this is you official reminder!

Hi Zippit. Maybe people were awake just not on here. Have you found out anything interesting about your family history? Oh, please share your cornflake crispies! I've been craving the rice crispies ones. Well done for doing your washing and ironing.

It was a review of my general mental and physical health with lots of different categories.

I put it down on paper and then the ghost does not ache so much.

Lots of ninjas!

The review was difficult and although I scored a lot of things lower (not doing so well) my support worker was surprised because she thinks I've been better over the last 6 months from what she's seen of me at the gym group. Now I'm questioning if I really am struggling.

Well done for unpacking! Did you have lots to sort out?

House sitting doesn't sound fun then. Will you be ok being so isolated?

It's just started pouring with rain here.

I'm glad your headache is mostly gone, Jen.

Yes! Thank you Jen!
Next asda trip i will be acquiring the ingredients!

I think things can change day to day with things like this lindsay. So it's not necessarily a completely accurate view on things. If that makes sense? I know what i mean but struggling to word it properly!

Thanks! There wasn't a lot, it just looked like a lot because since i got back, I've just been rummaging around in bags for clothes, so it was spread everywhere!
I still need to put away the washing that hss just finished, but that's easy.

My brother said he'll try and drive down to chill with me for a bit which is nice of him!

It's hammering down! Nope, not leaving the house again!

My mum has done a load of family history research overr the years and has been sharing what she knows with me. It's really cool. She actually got back to the end of the 18th century on one side. And last time I visited she showed me the family photos including one of her grndparent and great grandparents. Next time I visit we are going to go over my Grandad war record from WW2 as she has his service book, medals and some photos. We know he was on the beaches at D Day as I want to research what his regiment were doing. But I need to look at his service book to check what regiment he was in.

My Dad has looked into it a bit too as did his Dad (my grandad) when he was alive. Bit trickier on Dad's side as they are mostly Welsh and all had very common Welsh surnames and common first names too. So hard to be 100% sure whether people in census records are our ancestors or not.

So yes I am very interested in family history!!

Re house sitting will you be bringing the guineas?

I posted in your serious thread OSC. Btw is it okay if I call you Lindsay like I have seen others do or would you prefer OSC?

My family history is pretty boring.
Basically just Norfolk. Less said about that, the better XD
Also irish though. On my dad's side. Think there's some scottish on mum's side. But mainly Norfolk.
My daughter had Persian and turkish in hers!

Noo, both the dogs and the boys would be very unhappy with that arrangement! And they'd probably end up being accidentally murdered with the dogs wanting to play and not having been around small animals.

On my mum's mum's side they are mostly Norfolk and then move into London around 1900. My brother has memories from before I was born of being dragged around cold Norfolk graveyards while mum was looking for ancestors graves!

I didn't think about whether they would be safe. Will you have to get your neighbour to look after them while you look after your mum's pets then?

Wow! I'm lucky my mum wasn't quite that bad XD
She did get really into it for a while though

Yeah i will.
I don't really want to ask her again after her taking care of them for 6 weeks! But she won't need to do any full cleaning out at least. Just feeding and hay and water.

She stopped doing so much research by time I was born, 2 kids was obviously too much work! And when she got back into it around 2011 all the records were online so travelling to records offices etc. wasn't needed.

I can see how that would feel awkward. She seems very happy to help you out though

You got lucky then!
I can't imagine being so into it that you'd actually travel to record offices and graveyards!

Yeah she absolutely is
And tbh, i do have quite a few other people i can ask too.

He’s offered me a trial of talking therapy!!! 8-10 sessions as a trial to see how it is and if it’s helpful for me. After that we reassess.

It has to be the same time every week, I spoke to work and they’ve given me one time option, over my lunch break and won’t change my shifts around it. So now I see if that time is an option with the therapist.

if you think you know me in real life, no you don't.

Not really, it took me long enough to get this one.

My last job, I could only take holiday if I had my laptop with me, was still on emails (and got sent work all the time with deadlines) and made up the hours.

Also, my job here means I get half price treatment for the cats.
