Google says it needs to drain before it will open.
It can not drain because the sink is now completely blocked for some reason

Ah. I hate the stuff because it's terrible for the planet but drain cleaner? Or a plunger, plungers can work miracles.

I'm unsure.
We managed to get it on spin by manually taking out all the water out of the sink.
Then the water stopped coming up.
And when we turned the tap on it went down.
But I had to leave for the hairdressers so haven't tried it out properly.
Neighbour used the plunger on it and some black bits came up which I think is dust from the washing machine.
We shall see!
