Oh i'm not denying it's good fun and great bands. I've been for three years now. It's just not such great fun in the real world when you're broke and then spend half your time worrying about how much you've paid for it.. lol

Faith No More are the best band there full stop. The band have single handedly inspired every single band on that setlist so far. You don't get an act bigger. I would love to go see them it would be incredible.
been going since 05 so this shall be my 5th Download.
Got my ticket in the pre-sale so the entire thing including camping and booking fees only cost me £150.
Let me be the one you call
If you jump i'll break your fall
Lift you up and fly away with you into the night
If you need to fall apart
I can mend a broken heart
If you need to crash then crash and burn YOU'RE NOT ALONE
I dont think i will be going at all this year!! got sooo much to do!! though seeing the Crue again would be mega!!! - i've heard a rumor that Nikki Sixx's band SIXX:AM may be making a special guest apperance!!! but who knows!!!
Nothing lasts forever
And we both know hearts can change
And it's hard to hold a candle
In the cold November rain
i really want to go.
hopefully ill have more notice than last year. Found out i was going on Wednesday, picked up my wristbands on Thursday and went on Friday.
I feel so old! I went to the first download back in '03!!
Then it was Deftones, Marilyn Manson, InMe, Murderdolls, Amen, Funeral for a friend, HIM, Violent Delight, Arch Enemy, Evanescence, Mudvayne, Spineshank, Stone sour, and Less than jake.
I got a snippet of Casey Chaos's hair, and one of Wednesday 13's gloves

They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
did you actually cut his hair off? with scissors?
thats kind of cool, yet vaguely stalkerish.
did he not think you were a bit bizarre?
I asked for a souvenir and he snipped a bit of his hair off lol, most of my souvenirs from gigs are drum sticks or bits of guitars but nope this time i got a lock of hair. I'd seen them play before in Portsmouth and he recognised me so maybe that's why I got hair And seriously you think Casey Chaos would find anything bizzare!? If you've seen his stage antics you'll know what I mean.
Then again when I last saw Placebo i got a lovely sweaty towel and a kiss on the cheek from Stefan as a souvenir niiice

yummy!!! have you washed the sweaty towel or is it now stiff where the sweat has dried?
well no, i just found it bizarre in my head pictures you waving some scissors aout and him pausing his song to get down so you could cut a bit of his hair again, and then resuming playing again.
or you just manically waving a pair of scissors around and managing to just miss his eyes and get some hair instead.
Am i the only one excited about Faith No More?.. I hear so many people showing their age but no one i have talked to yet is excited about one of the biggest pioneers in modern music being at Download haha...
^ I'm not a massive fan of Faith No More but it's pretty awsome that they're playing. It's always good to know you get to expereince a legend in action :)
Although I was so so holding out for Aerosmith or something...Faith No More seemed like a bit of a anti-climax, but I'm coming around to the idea now!
The line up is shaping up to be pretty epic; less of the usual twaddle. But perhaps it's just a fluke that my personal taste is being massively catered to this year *hurrah*
