all young children aren't little screaming brats.
some adults can be worse than children in the annoying factor.

I think it would be more suitable to have something that says different behaviors that, if displayed, you will be asked to leave.

then include screaming brats, disruptfull behavior, etc
only have to do that if its about race or religion. i personally dont think refusing to not allow kids is discriminatory.. i mean how can a country be free if you aint allowed to choose who you serve or allow on your property ?

But there has to be limits. You shouldn't be allowed to refuse to serve someone just because they are black or gay or even black and gay! I think freedom to not be discriminated against is a pretty fundamental freedom.

i disagree. unless someone is paying my bills and went and got the loan i needed to start my business they have no right to say who i serve or dont serve. thats the point of a PRIVATE business and PRIVATE property...

So back to the days of no blacks, no dogs and no Irish then...

I'm glad I live in the actual world and not your 'libertarian' one.

Umm no way, its like these b & b owners who got taken to court because the refused gay men, yes you have the right as a buisness to say no to anyone in theory but not imo if it comes down to bigotry

Sorry to butt into the thread, but I'm just wondering if they're allowed to say no-one under a certain age, can others say no to people over a certain age? It seems that age discrimination towards young people is seen as fine, but if you discriminate against someone because they are over a certain age, it's seen as terrible. Seems like there's a double standard. I'm actually for this restaurant banning children, but could they ban older people? or would it be seen as wrong? From what I've seen, young people can be discriminated as much as people want, but tell a pensioner they can't go to a certain restaurant and all hell would break loose. I guess I'm veering off topic, but it seems like an interesting debate

did i say i was for those kinds of places nope... specially since i swing both ways and have indian, irish, german, in me. doesnt mean ill force a place to serve people they dont want to. if a place says no irish i wont eat there plenty of places to eat around town. all a business has to do to stay legal is put a sign up that they "reserve the right to refuse service" they cant put up a sign that says no blacks, gays, mexicans, muslims, irish, italians, whites ,germans..

just like the bakery that refused to make a cake for a gay couple cause it was against their beliefs id go somewhere else.. or the bed and breakfast plenty of those around.. if a place doesnt want my business then i go elsewhere.

once we start forcing people to do thing they dont want to they lose their freedom..

Only problem with that theory is if we go back to the fifties when it was ok to say no blacks most places had signs saying no blacks or irish, so we return to a time where people are discriminated and turned away time after time after time
