I'd say luckily I'm not diabetic but don't want to tempt fate :P Incidentally tell your nan that there are really nice diabetic friendly sweets out there-I had them when I worked in a sweetshop when back when and they were fit, and I assume sweet science has moved on 10 or so years since then :P

She does know about diabetic friendly sweets.
She just likes her normal sweets. She knows it's bad but doesn't care too much.
Her view on basically eveything is 'I'm old, I've lived this long, I'll do what I want' :p
But she is a bit careful because her mum lost a leg to diabetes
I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!
Ha ha fair enough. Grandmothers never listen to advice anyway :P It took us long enough to stop my grandma hiding her zimmer frames in the back bedroom because 'she wasn't old enough to need them'-even at one point sending them back :P

Sometimes diabetic sweets/chocolate have worse nasties in them than a bit of sugar. I avoid them like the plague. Everything in moderation - diabetics are no different. =)
I have been for coffee with my friend. Am back home now but have my nurse coming later.
