If I don't say how I feel I feel dishonest. If I say how I feel I feel I've isolated you. I have nowhere else to go. Sometimes you feel alien to me, or maybe I'm alien to you. I'm coming to wholly understand that we are all alone, in the sense that no-one can fully know or understand what I've felt/done/feel, nor can I you. That isolation is suffocating. I think being well is not seeing that completely. And being unwell is seeing that too clearly. Which isn't unwell as such, but a state of being. A being in crisis in a society that depends on just that, social beings. The individual dies. But the individual is all there is. We are all an island. We are all in crisis. An existential crisis. And there is no bridge. None that I can see.

i honestly thought you had forgotten about me by now. you've dated so many girls. am I just a number you think about every few years? i thought i would never hear from you again. we were so young then: seventeen… it's been seven years. am i even the same person? are you? at this point we were friends/dating for two years, and broken up for five.
