New(ish) Feature - The Panic Button!

Hi Everyone!

As you can see from the homepage, I have been a nusy boy over the past few days on various aspects of RYL. One thing that has been proving very hard to get right has been the long desired Panic Button - and now I have finally rewritten it and got it working! I hope!

The idea is simple. RYL is a site that not everyone agrees with, and there are times when you might need a 'quick exit' so as not to get caught. Switching the panic button on floats a button in the bottom left corner of your screen, which, when pressed instantly redirects your browser to another site (of your choosing in the control panel)

Not everyone needs it, but some I know will find it very handy!

Try it out by switching it on and putting a URL in here :

Don't forget to put http:// at the front of the address or it won't work!


My hope is that it will work perfectly this time, as it is totally rewritten from the ground up - but let me know how it goes!

Aw, that's fun.
I'd prefer it if it was on the left instead of the right, though.

The thinking is that since most common functions on RYL and on a computer on on the right (scrollbar, reply buttons, forum jump etc) that it would be quicker to get to it on the right side... but it is easy to change and up for debate!

Yeah as mentioned you will need to put a URL in, as for some reason existing members are not getting the default value that new members are getting.

I woudl suggest setting it to something innocent and fast loading - google.com is perfect :)
