Ugh, just watched the Christmas special and to say I was disappointed would be an understatement. Can't wait for the fourth series where Aygeman & Piper show how truly awful Tate is/will be. Bet the Dr will get regenerated and Tennant leaves at the finale, since 09 is the break year.
I always feel so sorry for the doctor, losing the people he falls for like, constantly and then they play that sad music and it's just like boo hoo. I'm a right softie =P
i think she'll still try and add some comdey to it, but i thought she was rather good, she's just; i hate to say it but, common or she plays that very well, i think she'll be ok but i think her running everywhere is going to be amusing
I don't mind seeing the boring other people die. It's always the assistant, bar a series finale that dies.
Plus Dr Who shouldn't have Tate cracking jokes every second. It was f-ing scary back in the good old days and now we have a comedian as an assistant...
I wasn't impressed with Tate in the first special she did, but went along with her because it was a special and I hope she wouldn't go with the doctor.
It was a horrible. Depressing. Horrible. Sad. Xmas episode.
Humph.
However.
I still love it.
Dubious about CT but we#ll see/
"Be nice. Think happy thoughts. Champion silver linings. Love all things (not just cute things like babies and kittens) & when you do love - love like they do in power ballads (you know like on a cliff with the wind in your hair and your eyes shut, knowing you'll never know love like this). Watch out for dog poo. Smile at people - even grumpy ones. Remember anything is possible & whatever you do always try to look on the bright side."
The Xmas special wasn't brilliant but it wasn't awful, I'm going to re watch it cause there is always things you miss when you watch it once, I preferred last years special. There's only a break in the series so Tennant can go off and do other things, cant wait for Torchwood to begin though.
The Christmas special was alright, and I think Kylie did a really good job. :) Of course, it would have been nice to see less deaths on Christmas, and perhaps less of a romance between Astrid & the Doctor, because it was obvious that it wasn't/couldn't last... or go anywhere, etc.
I am, too, aprehensive about the new series. Tate will be interesting, and I truly hope that there will be no sort of romance between Donna & the Doctor, but I think that's wishful thinking - especially after seeing the trailer for the new series yesterday, after the special!
Torchwood, eee. :)
Oh, and I can't wait until Martha meets Rose! That will be awesome, especially after the comments Martha made about her in the last series, and how they both have a bit of a thing for the Doctor. x
I thought the christmas episode was horribley (sp?) sad, I mean you lost astrid once and then the doctor saved the earth but when he thought he could get her back and he couldnt and he kicked the transporter machine thing and said "I can do anything" ack, poor doctor.
Honestly I am looking forward to tate being there, she never seemed to have a lust for the doctor so it will be different. And different isnt always bad kids :P
Never forget what you are for the rest of the world will not.
Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you
I don't know if this will be useful for anyone to know but.....well....I found it rather interesting.............and a bit exciting
This evening I received some rather interesting news from 1 of my good friends, who has some links with internal affairs over at the filming of the new series of Doctor Who...
It seems that in the new series some old faces are going to be making an appearance
Mickey (Noel Clarke)
Pete Tyler (Shaun Dingwall) and
Jackie Tyler (Camille Coduri)
They will all be making an appearance after episode 7 in the new series
It is unofficial at the moment and people on set are desperately trying to keep it as quiet as possible after last years (season 3) plot spoilers being published by The Sun before the official press release
But I thought all you avid Doctor Who fans would like to hear about it :P
Well, if Rose is going to be back, then it kind of makes sense for her family & friends to return too.
Just one wish for the next series, and this is that Tate does not fall in love with the Doctor in any way, shape, or form.
However, judging by the trailer, that seems highly unlikely. *rolls eyes* If only she had got married on Christmas Day, haha!
Are the any clues as to when the next series will be aired? x

That's my one with too! I'm so sick of all the companions falling for him. It was ok for Rose because that was new, but EVERYONE? No. It just gets boring. I'm beginning to think they're going to reveal that there's some kind of love potion in his trainers.
