Exercise makes me freezing cold, why?

When i exercise i go ice cold. I feel hot and sweaty but my skin is clammy and cold.

Any idea why? My boyfriend was quite concerned.

Given that you have a number of serious health conditions and on various medications its probably quite complex and we shouldn't really advise. But I think youre right to be alarmed by this as its not an ordinary response. Does it happen every time you exercise?

Jeeze no need to be so rude! Chill, i was just asking in case it was an easy answer, lol.

I'll ring my GP on Tuesday.

Just, yes but only when i do cardio. I'll ask if it's anything to do with my heart. Hopefully not!!

I asked the pharmacist today abd she said maybe get a blood test as it could be thyroid or anemia. I have an underactive thyroid but I'm properly medicated so it shouldn't be that. But maybe it's got worse and i don't know. So i will request a blood test.

My understanding is that when you stop exercising, your core body temperature drops naturally but you still keep sweating for a little while longer and we sweat to cool ourselves down, so sometimes that makes you feel cold. I think women are more susceptible to it too. I hope your doctor can put your mind at rest :)

People weren't being rude Jodie. As you have complex conditions the right advice is to see a doctor. Not rude at all.
