Allergic to dressings.

Had surgery tuesday, hospital is next to impossible to contact. I think I'm allergic to my dressings & have to keep them on till around the 29th.

I am so itchy I could cry.. antihistamines arent doing a whole lot.

anything I can do while trying to get in contact with the hospital?

As you can't get through to the hospital, I'd see your gp & pharmacist lovely.

Seeing your GP is the best bet here, and try not to interfere with the dressings before you see the GP!

I'd keep trying to get hold of the hospital but maybe pop to your gp for advice. It could be itchy as it's healing but if you're worried about an allergic reaction I'd go and talk to someone. I get a lot of reactions to some dressings and at times it has been so bad it's made my wound worse. How far away is the hospital? If it's not too far away could you go there and ask face to face, tell them you haven't been able to get hold of them via phone?

I will love myself despite the ease with which I lean toward the opposite.

Its like id say about 20 miles, a train & a bus from where I am which makes things more difficult.

That does sound like a long way! Probably more convenient to see your GP then.
