So many series are ending this week. I haven't caught up with death parade, tokyo ghoul or durarara since my holiday but I know how each of them ends and I'm pretty sure they are collaborating together to just destroy the fandoms. Tokyo Ghoul especially they just decided to utterly kill the fandom with that episode. One of my friends is still crying over it and I don't really want to catch up now because I know I will cry!
I've heard really good things about the Death Parade finale I can't wait to watch it.
I'm also going to watch the finale of Aldnoah tomorrow, a lot of people on my dash on tumblr are very angry, they say the writing it bad and it just ended badly and they are really disappointed with it. I'll wait until i've seen it to pass judgement though.
It's also the penultimate episode of Yowapeda on Monday. Don't get me wrong I love Yowapeda but i'm so glad this race is finally over, it's been going on for what over 30 episodes or so now. It was starting to get ridiculous. ALTHOUGH, not as ridiculous as KnB. I think in last weeks episode there was a grand total of 29 seconds of gameplay!?!?! KnB I love you but please go any slower you will come to a full stop! Sports anime does like to drag out the matches haha

See I don't really mind when different adaptations change things. The main story will be the same but honestly if characters change or the way the story is told is different e.t.c I really don't mind at all. In fact I prefer it like that because if it were literally exactly the same why would I want to watch it?
There's going to be 7 new characters and Levi isn't in the movie, but again I don't really mind, I know a lot of people really love his character though so are pretty upset about it.
I think it'll be okay though, I mean Isayama has been heavily involved with the movies and making the story alongside the director.
Yeah I get what you mean and you have a good point. :) I guess I'm just an Attack on Titan snob. xD
SPEAKING OF WHICH! Who's excited for the 3DS game FINALLY coming out in the West? :D
I've started watching Date A Live recently after ordering the Yoshino Nendoroid. It's a pretty awesome anime but I think it's aimed towards men more so than women. :P
I saw the English trailer for that the other day. I am super excited for it! It looks so good!!
Also the new anime season just started. Compared to how spoilt we were with the Winter season.. it just doesn't compare.
To start with I had heard of this new cooking anime (shokugeki no souma) that I thought sounded pretty good. I love cooking and I love anime. Surely this would be a good fit? Well I watched the first episode and was promptly terrified. The level of fanservice is absolutely ridiculous and it's bordering on ecchi. I'm so glad I decided to wear headphones to watch it. I would have been mortified if my parents had heard some of the sounds coming from my laptop. I'm not sure if i'll continue watching or not because taking away the ecchi-ness it seems like it could be a good story and it was pretty funny. I'm just not sure if I can deal with that every week!
I was also super excited about The Disappearance of Nagato Yuki-chan, I loved Haruhi Suzumiya so a spin off sounded great but honestly I didn't even finish the first episode, I kind of fell asleep half way through, and that just about sums up how entertaining it was.
Owari no Seraph was really good, and i'm actually looking forward to next week so I would recommend that to anyone looking for a new series this season.
Kekkai Sensen is very different to anything I have ever seen before. The music and the way the story started off kind of reminded me of Baccano! which is a good thing. It's seems to be heading in a good direction so i'll try and keep up with that one too.
And KnB is as good as ever, the Teiko arc has just started and honestly I am dying of all the cute. Apparently the arc will take 4 episodes and so that means a whole month of me screaming on tumblr about how adorable they all look and probably some crying because i've heard teiko arc gets pretty sad.
I'm also trying to catch up on some series manga wise. I'm currently on chapter 50 of Tokyo Ghoul and i'm really starting to get into it. I also downloaded Deadman Wonderland in preparation for my Shiro cosplay next month. and I bought the first two translated volumes of Assassination Classroom today :)
We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken
:O Had it started now? BAJEESUS I'll have to watch that tonight if I can find it. ^_^
I haven't read manga for ages. :( With my MA uni course I haven't really had much time. When it finishes I'm going to catch up on so much manga! Currently reading Nana. Got about 10 books left to read.
Alright, so I've been busy lately, but I finally got a chance to catch up on some stuff. Well, now that most of last season is over, I guess we're moving on to new shows, and I'm not really sure what's going to be good and what isn't. I've been kind of looking into what I could, and it certainly doesn't seem like we're going to have the same kind of quality as last season (or the one before that).
That cooking show Palladion mentioned...yeah, the fanservice made it quite uncomfortable to watch. I'll keep up with the show for a couple more episodes, but for now, it just seems a bit...over the top? I don't really know how else to put it. Too much fanservice. At least the fanservice is so bad it's kind of funny. That makes it semi bearable.
I'm probably not going to watch the Haruhi spinoff anytime soon. I mean, maybe, sure, but I'm still reeling a bit from the endless eight, and I don't want to get wrapped into another series like that. Maybe someday, but I'll hold off for now.
Owari no Seraph...that has some promise. 2 episodes in and it is looking to be my favorite for the season. Bit depressing right off the bat, but that's not necessarily a bad thing. I'm definitely looking forward to the show's development.
Plastic Memories seems decent as well. I'm not really sure how the show is going to progress. I can't tell exactly what's going to happen for the rest of the show, which I'd say is a good thing. It's also pretty funny at times, so there's that as well. I get the feeling it's going to be a drama. Pretty much the type of show that will make you worry or make you sad every couple of episodes. I tend to like those to an extent, so I'm definitely going to continue watching that one for now.
I also enjoy the current KnB story arc. It's a nice break from the 30 second game segments they've been doing for the past however many episodes. Not to say that isn't interesting sometimes, but it does get old very quickly.
Also watching a show called World Trigger. Definitely interesting. Seems a tiny bit cliche in a lot of areas, but definitely interesting. It doesn't really seem to do anything amazing or terrible. maybe just a little above average on nearly all fronts. I'll continue to watch all the way through, but if you need another anime to fill up your schedule, this one might be worth a shot. Not really sure if others would like it or not, but it might be fun to try out.
I still need to catch up on Assassination Classroom. That's one of the only shows I haven't started watching again. I've watched most of it so far, but I stopped keeping up with it a few episodes ago. I think I'm about 5 episodes behind now.
That's pretty much everything for now. I'll be interested to see what people are watching a couple weeks from now. That will give me an idea of what good shows I need to watch this season.
I just watched episode 2 of Kekkai Sensen. It's so good! I was apprehensive after the first episode it was ok but didn't really grab my attention. But now it's the show i'm most looking forward to next week.
We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken
this is a little out of date, there's a lot of stuff within the last year i haven't added, and some shows in the "ongoing" that i finished- but it's got nearly all the shows ive seen, regardless.
I'm currently watching Sword Art Online. My boyfriend has already watched the first season, so it's frustrating as **** for me not knowing what will happen!
I currently have no internet at home so I can't really watch anything right now. I can go to my local mcdonalds and use their wifi to catch up with some shows I really want to keep watching.
Other than that I downloaded a bunch of manga to read, before I lost internet. I'm still keeping up with Haikyuu!! and I finally got around to reading Assassination Classroom. It is so good I caught up 139 chapters in 2 days! I love the anime right now but the manga is just that much better, so many plot twists!
I also finally finished reading Tokyo Ghoul, and I can now see why everyone says to read the manga, the anime just doesn't compare at all, it completely butchered a lot of the character development and missed out some of the most important parts! Hopefully I can get around to reading TG:RE soon.
I also have the first 33 chapters of Owari no Seraph downloaded and Deadman Wonderland which i'll probably read over the next week.
We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken
I've been really tempted to get into manga, but I have so much anime to watch that it kind of eats up all of my time, lol.
Also that's a pretty great list, MoNo. I browsed through a bit of it and already found a couple to add to my "to watch" list.
I really need to go back through and track all of the anime I've watched. I haven't really kept up with it for...well, way too long now. Maybe I'll go through and try to come up with a list tonight. Only reason I haven't so far is that I have difficulty rating animes. It always ends up being relative to the most recent 10 that I decided, making them all seem kind of random by the end of it. It's hard to assign values to things.
Anyways, I guess I'll update on what I'm watching now. Arslan Senki is pretty interesting so far. Nothing amazing, but definitely interesting. DanMachi is another one I picked up not long ago. Not really sure what to think of it. I feel like it's got the makings of a decent story, but it's being delivered too quickly to really matter. A few things are well developed, but they seem to leave out details in certain areas. I haven't really looked to see how long the show is supposed to be, but I'm not sure if they could reasonably make the show really exciting if it's only going to be 12 episodes. Owari no Seraph is great. Nothing much to say other than I really enjoy it so far. World Trigger and Kuroko no Basket continue to show episode after episode without really accomplishing anything. Which is just kind of what happens when you have a ton of episodes. That said, they're both still interesting enough to continue watching for me.
I've put aside Ansatsu Kyoushitsu for now to save some time, but I do really want to see the rest of it from what I've already seen. Also I still haven't watched a bunch of other things I intended to watch recently.
Anyways, that's a quick update on my current watch list. Maybe sometime in the next few weeks I'll make a MyAnimeList account and try to fill it out with the stuff I've seen (though that might take a long time).

thanks, no problem. a lot of stuff i added on my own (stuff ive seen or want to see), but there's also a couple programs where you install it, log in your MAL account, and set up what video player you use etc. it can update any new shows you watch and what episode youre on, so you dont have to do it manually.
regarding rating, i rate stuff based on how much i like it. a good example is me rating saikano 10, even though it's clearly 6-7. i like the show a lot and consider it extremely underrated.
another good example is me rating true tears 1. it's about a 7-8 in terms of the show quality itself, but i got so buttdevestated over the best girl not winning that i threw it into the trash pile completely. it still annoys me when i think about it.
if you cant decide tho you dont actually have to rate anything (i think)
I went to London mcm yesterday. IT WAS SO GOOD. The cosplays, as always, were amazing, and it's easy to tell what series are popular. There were so many Tokyo Ghoul cosplays, I guess the second season, despite not being that good, didn't make it any less popular! There was also tons of Sword Art Online and as always lots of Attack on Titan.
I unfortunately didn't get my Shiro cosplay finished in time so ended up using one of my back ups and went as Momoi from Kuroko no Basuke. I still had loads of fun though and went to an all sports anime meet up and photo shoot, so many Haikyuu!! cosplays I was in heaven, it's my favourite series.
Here's a couple of pictures of my cosplay :D
