What book do you absolutely love (and think everyone else should read)
The title is pretty self explanatory but what's the book that's either stuck with you the longest or your favorite or you think other people should absolutely read?
Personally, I generally recommend Good Omens and I've actually bought it a few times. Lent it out, never got it back, still keep lending it.
I like it because everyone is very flawed in the book but they're really people kind of people. No one is evil or like super good. There's no real hero and it's super super funny and always makes me smile.
Addition by Toni Jordan. There's something about it I love so much but can't explain why. It's a brilliant book.
And recently, The Rose Petal Beach by Dorothy Koomson, such a page turner, I really really loved it.
Now I'll play your ghost as my ace, whenever I'm led astray.
But I am actually good, can't help it if we're tilted.
I'm in my right place, don't be a downer.

'We are each our own devil, and we make this world our hell.’ – Oscar Wilde

I'm a huge fan of the Cathy Glass books. They're all based on her experiences as a foster carer and all the children she has looked after. Absolutely love her!
I'm really going to have to second Good Omens. It's an absolutely amazing book. Or also pretty much anything by Neil Gaiman.
For an original one, this is a series not an individual book, but the Wheel of Timeseries by Robert Jordan pretty much got me through high school
"I prefer dangerous freedom over peaceful slavery."- Thomas Jefferson
Honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps.
"Make it work." -Tim Gunn
Some of the Sherlock Holmes stories - personal favourites for me are Silver Blaze, The Blue Carbuncle (I wish they would base an episode of Sherlock on this story!) and His Last Bow.
The Perks of Being a Wallflower - Stephen Chbosky
- maybe a cliche choice but oh my god this book touched me everytime i reread it and it's beautifully written and just really relatable
After the wreck, I picked myself up, spread my wings and flew away - Joyce Carol Oats
a book about pain and young adulthood. the writing is so good and i just really love the main characters paths.
My favourite book is Phantom by Susan Kay, and anyone who has seen or has any interest I the Phantom of the Opera needs to read this. The Phantom was so misunderstood. Just read this.
As people have mentioned Neil Gaiman, I must recommend his wife's book - Amanda Palmer's Art of Asking, it's brilliant. You needn't be a Dresden Dolls fan to enjoy.
The Girl With All The Gifts by J Carrey
The Moth Diaries by Rachel Klein (I think)
The Lovely Bones by Alice Seabold
The Passion of New Eve by Angela Carter
I've just started The Night Circus, which is about this mysterious circus that pops up into this town in the middle of the night, and it's also about magic and romance and old friends beyond normal timespans. It's very mysterious but I really like it so far.
