Graphic - just want to give up

So today i message my tattooist about adding more to my lower back and he responded with "im not really comfortable tattooing near your ass specially with you being a chick with a dick" i feel like so devastated and like im nothing but a freak. ill never be accepted for the woman i feel like inside its enough to make me just give up and im having all kinds of bad thoughts. i thought he be understanding since most people in the tattoo industry are pretty laid back..

i feel complely drained and ashamed of what i am

Quite frankly, HE is the one who needs to feel ashamed of himself. I'm appalled by his attitude and the words he uses to express it. Is there anywhere you could officially complain to because of the discrimination?

Don't let him get to you, though I know that's easier said than done.
You're okay just the way you are and you're not doing anything wrong or shameful.
Hope you feel better soon.

His attitude is disgusting. You had a lucky escape in my option. I'm sorry you had such a bad experience but try not to let that make you think everyone is like that. Lost of other people are far more respectful and less ignorant and backward.

His attitude is completely disgusting.
I volunteer for an LGBT mental health charity, would you mind telling me what shop it is and where? There are a lot of trans folk who get tattoos where I work and I need to make sure that shop is blacklisted. If you don't want to post it on here, feel free to PM me.
Don't listen to this fuckwad for one more moment. Genitals do not define your gender, how you identify defines your gender and nothing more. x

We'll float on alright.

That is a horrible thing to have happen! Some people are just downright closed minded and bigoted. You could report them to the authorities, post bad reviews about how you were treated in a trans-friendly space or just plain never go there again. The thing about going to see the other co-owner is that you are still putting money into that bigot's pocket and they will never learn anything that way. People don't seem to see how their words and apparent "discomfort" affect other people, especially those in a vulnerable position.

Coming out shouldn't ever make you feel ashamed and it is an incredibly brave thing to have done! Even if most people don't understand and I don't know you particularly well, I am proud of you for coming out and being true to who you are.

Don't let the bastards get you down!
