Wound Care Question - an old wound (burn)

Hi, Ive not harmed for quite a while and what i had done has almost healed, if not healed. this evening its sprouted a smallish squidgy lump. I dont have much feeling in that area so cant tell if its painful or not.

Is it reddened? Is the lump like fluidy or hard and does it have a discharge? Also, is it warm? A few things come to mind, 1 of them bring a potential abscess. There is the chance it's something like a big blister or that it happens to be a cyst but is in the same area and it's just a coincidence. If you want to you could PM me a pic.

Sorry ive not been back to my thread, thank you for your reply.
Yes it was reddened and shiny.
I tried piercing it, more to see if it was solid or not, dark red blood came out.

I will try to pm you a picture, thank you x
(its probably nothing)

I'm wondering if it's either a bit of scar tissue or possibly a lump of granulation tissue which is your bodies normal healthy tissue healing and sometimes it can form lumps. If it is granulation tissue (this is pink coloured with red dots on it) then if it's forming lumps then it's not healing properly and skin will have difficulty healing over the top of it so it may be worth you seeing your GP if it doesn't improve

I shall do that, thank you,
It could also be, i guess from the small but repeated trauma I have mentioned
in my reply to your pm

Yes, it could be, that would irritate healing and could affect the granulation tissue as well.

The PMs you've sent me this morning, apart from the first, were nothing but quotes.
