I am currently:
Zoloft, Lexapro, and/or Cymbalta--experience, withdrawals, effectiveness

Some other sites I've been on had sections just for discussing meds, but I couldn't find one here. I hope I picked the right place for this. If not, please move to a more appropriate board.

A doctor is thinking about trying me on a different medication since Effexor is producing nominal effects in me. He's letting me choose. He gave me a list of 8 medications, and I've narrowed it down to three, based on some of the side effects on the other 5.

I would like to know of anyone in here who has been on Lexapro, Zoloft, and/or Cymbalta.

Let me know which you've had experience with, and 1) if it has been effective for you, 2) side effects you experienced while on the med, and 3) for anyone who stopped using the med, any withdrawal symptoms you had.

Please don't click on 'hugs.' You can't hug over the internet, and attempts to do so are extremely patronizing. The only thing you can do on a computer is type and play games.

I was on Zoloft years ago and found it to be really helpful really quickly. However I had to be taken off it due to an exceptionally rare side effect that occurred after a month of being on it. So I can't really comment on withdrawal or anything else due to how quickly I had to be taken off it and how short a time I was on it.

Thing is meds work differently for everyone and it can be a case of trial and error until you find the right one. I hope you can figure out which one will help you soon.

Yes, that's one of the things I'm looking for--repetition of certain side effects or experiences, that would indicate a higher frequency of those things. I think I just want this guy to put me back on Effexor. At least I'm familiar with that one and there would be no surprises.
