Tattoo Query
Hey guys
I had my tattoo done on Saturday. It didn't scab at all, but rather, went kinda gooey and just, fell off. Like seriously, I could have used what came off and stuck it somewhere as a temporary tattoo (is this normal, I've only ever seen scabby tattoos?)
There's still a bit left so I've continuted putting on bepanthem every 3 hours as the guys suggested. I woke up this morning to find that my tatoo had left an.. image? on my bed sheets. I can se the bepanthem on the sheet but also the colouring from the tattoo. Is this normal?

From what I can recall very similar things happened to me with my last tattoo, which healed fine.
But I don't have a 100% memory of it so hopefully someone wiser comes along. I'm fairly certain I remember some unicorn ending up on my bed sheet though :p I believe it's the ink and plasma?
Perhaps you could ask the tattooist?

My first did something similar, as well as scabbing, and it's slightly patchy; there are small parts where the colour isn't as rich as the rest of it.

I think every three hours for the benpanthen is a bit too often. You can over moisturise tattoos.

Yeah, you really don't need to moisturize it that often. A couple times a day is fine. Just keep an eye on it, so long as it doesn't seem infected, it should heal fine.

do you like my potato?

Yeah it sounds too wet! I only put bepanthen on once in the morning and once in the evening on new tattoos and only do it until the scab has come off completely and it feels smooth.
I wash my tattoo in luke warm water with a tiny tiny bit of bar soap, let it dry and apply the bepanthen. And no cling film!!!

Yeah, once in the morning and once in the evening is fine for bepanthen. Try to get into a routine of washing it with warm water and soap before you put the evening bepanthen on.
I also find that when my tattoos have mostly healed but the skin is still a bit dry, normal moustuiriser helps so much. I use aqueous cream as it is water based so rubs in really well and leaves no greasy residue on your skin.
