haha I would very much doubt you were annoying. Do you think you would ever take it up again?

Haha, cheers.

Nah, I don't think so. I enjoyed it at the time - we won a lot of comps. I just don't think I'd go back. Still got the pipes up the loft.

That's pretty cool. Not many people can say they have played the bagpipes. Glad you enjoyed it.

What in brendans name was going on when this device was invented? It must have involved drink an extremely large haggis some straws and how can we make pumping this bag of air sound similar to a feral cat being tormented .

My neighbour used to play the drums, terribly. He was *self taught* and lived in a tin shack around a caravan just on the other side of our very thin tin and plasterboard wall - he would play up to 5 hours a day on those wretched things, sometimes at 8am, or 11pm or 2am, and drum to the same song for hours on end often ruining songs I once enjoyed.

I feel you - it makes you want to bang your head on the wall and throttle his head with a frying pan.

x

Lorraine, I think I'll take up the pipes again, move next to you, and play them all the time. Just for you ;) I know you'd love that :P

When I was a kid I wanted to move to Scotland just so I could learn the bagpipes in school. Instead I took up and played trombone for many years. I'm sure I was very annoying, plus my brother plays keyboard so I can imagine we were most annoying neighbours!

Okay, I'll just have to buy ear plugs then if I can't hide. Honestly, some people are just cruel! Haha, although I am impressed you can play them.

Nikki that's really sweet. You should come to Scotland, it's really cool (in both awesomeness and temperature).

Yes I love Scotland! I'm actually half Scottish, my mam is from glasgow, so I've been a lot but not in a while.

My dad plays the bagpipes (albeit... not very well). Luckily our neighbour is deaf so doesn't get audibly abused by them.

My step mum suggested we all put together for christmas to get a practice set of pipes for him. They are MUCH quieter!!

LOL. This must be the first thread which has made me laugh so much. Wow a neighbour who plays the bagpipes - must be a nice alarm to wake up to in the mornings.

I think I may actually miss the bagpipe neighbour. Haven't heard it in ages. Must have been a phase.

Melting snow, I hope your dad gets the quieter ones or improves his playing.
