After I finish this, I suppose I'm going to watch Attack on Titan due to a rather adamant recommendation from someone I know. Will update on that after I finish it. Going to continue watching Fairy Tail now, so I'll update again whenever I finish the show.
You've been recommended Attack on Titan as well? I have had all of my friends who watch anime tell me that I NEED to watch it as it's one of the best series they've ever seen and that I will absolutely love it e.t.c. I'm kind of worried that it may be a little over-hyped now haha, I shall have to wait and see I guess.
We need never be hopeless, because we can never be irreparably broken
Yess I was the same as you guys, tumblr is full of Attack on Titan and at first I thought that it's too popular and also too gruesome, so I won't watch it, only to fin myself completely obsessed with it a few weeks later XD
I also heard the manga is great, but I have yet to start reading it.
For now, I plan on rewatching Lovely Complex(my favourite anime) for the billionth time(actually I think it's 5th or 6th?..), because it's so funny sometimes that I just can't stop laughing XD

Is it on YouTube? I've read some of the manga, but I wanna see the anime!

Close your eyes. Don't you cry. Love's around you. In time, you'll fly. Don't you worry about the dark. I will light up the night with the love in my heart. I will burn like the sun that will keep you safe and warm. Like the smell of a rose on a summer's day, I will be there to take all your fears away. With the touch of my hand, I will turn your life to GOLD!
I watched Lovely Complex not too terribly long ago. It was a pretty good one. I enjoyed it, anyways. I don't remember exactly when I watched it, but I remember liking it at the time. Might watch it again at some point.
Haven't seen Spirited Away. I think someone told me to watch that once, but I don't remember who it was. Regardless, I've got it on some list somewhere of things to watch.
Finished Fairy Tail. I actually liked it quite a lot. It was a little bit childish, I suppose, but it was also pretty hilarious most of the time. I'd say it's worth a watch. Also, that show is full of cliffhangers. Full of them.
Watching Attack on Titan now. I don't know that it really lives up to the ridiculous hype that it god, but it is definitely good. I guess I'll be a better judge of it when I finish it. The art, if nothing else, is absolutely incredible. Story is unique and interesting. I'll judge whether or not it was overhyped when I finish the show. Oh yeah, and it definitely is gruesome. That is something I can point out up front.
Attack on titan is good, somewhat overhyped and it takes a while for some of the characters to develop (well really It's just the mc that starts off quite irritating) but it's worth a watch(and you can do for free on crunchyroll, pm for a guestpass if you need), no doubt they'll be doing a second season next year.
I've had a week off work and have spent pretty much all of it with my curtains drawn watching anime. I've gotten though Kanon (2006), Phantom;requiem for the phantom, Deadman wonderland, Rwby (I guess not anime stricty speaking but it was fun so lets not split hairs) and Steins gate which I save for last because it was absolutely superb! A little slow to get started but when it does the story gets really interesting. I won't spoil anything but the basic premise revolves around time travel and the consequences of any small action creating a butterfly effect. The other thing I can say for steins gate is that the English dub is one of the best I have ever seen(or heard I suppose!). I've enjoyed everything I've watched this week (although the ending to deadman was total balls and definately screamed 'read the manga or don't bother') but Steins gate would have to be the standout recommendation.
Edit: I also really liked lovely complex, I hope it gets licenced in the Eu I hate importing.

Slightly random post but I've mentioned Satoshi Kon (tokio godfathers, paprika, paranoia agent. etc) in previous posts but have only just come across this.
The ongoing state of his last work and his last words.

Attack on Titan is definitely overrated. It's good, but not amazing. Also, Rwby sounds really interesting, I'll have to watch it.
I also just finished watching Deadman Wonderland, btw. It was really kind of disturbing, but I can't say I didn't like the anime. I thought it was pretty good. Then it ended all of a sudden. I don't ever really read manga, but honestly, I'm totally out of luck if I don't do it...Also, I loved Steins:Gate. The characters in that seemed so interesting, and the storyline as well. There was just something about it I really liked.
Haven't seen Phantom yet. Started watching it at one point, but then got recommended something, and ended up watching something else. Haven't gotten back around to it. Kanon was good as well. Not crazy incredible, but worth watching definitely.
Sounds like you had a pretty good break, lot's of good anime going on there.
Now I get to find something new to watch. Just finished Deadman Wonderland, and am feeling rather disappointed. It was good, just still disappointed for rather obvious reasons. Not sure what I'll watch next. Going to go through my list and pick something later.
I just finished Lucky Star. I didn't really like the last episode... Cause it was basically a repeat... I literally almost fell asleep cause I knew what would happen...

Haven't seen Lucky Star, Ponyo, or Arietty. Any of those any good? I've stayed away from Lucky Star mainly because I enjoy anime with a good plot, and that didn't exactly seem like one. If it's good, though, I might watch it at some point.
As for Mirai Nikki, I haven't seen it yet. I actually have that one on my watch list already, so I might just go ahead and watch that one. It seemed interesting when I last looked at it. Just after Attack on Titan and Deadman Wonderland, I was going to go with something a bit more...well...maybe cheerful is the word. It's been a couple of days though, so that probably doesn't really matter at this point. Might go ahead and watch that one, thanks for the rec.
It's funny. The end is just boring cause it's a recycled episode.

Ponyo is very weird ( I have come to expect that from Ghibli films though) but cute. I enjoyed it. If you have seen and liked other cutesy Ghibli films like My Neighbour Totoro or Spirited Away then you'll probably like it.
Arietty is the Ghibli take on the Burrowers, I personally really liked it.
I haven't seen Lucky Star either, so can't comment on that. Well that's not actually true, I watched one episode but I don't know, I just don't think I got it as I really didn't want to watch any more. I might try it again once i'm back to the world of normal internet.

I just finished Black Butler II. It was fantastic. c: Roughly maybe a 8 or 9 out of 10.

^Oooh I want to watch it & I also want to read the manga it seems terribly interesting. And about Lovely Complex it was on youtube, but now I can;t find it anymore I think they took it down :(
Oh, I also watched Wolf Children the other day. I highly recommend it to anyone who reads this post.

Ah, yeah. I've been wanting to get around to Wolf Children. What is it about exactly (plotwise)? I still need to finish Fairy Tail, I have about 60 episodes to go.
The title basically is the plot. It's just about Wolf Children growing up in the world of today, trying to learn where their place is. The end is quite shocking. x3 Never would have guessed it!!
