pricey flats!

I just had an email from RightMove [they send me random emails as I was registered with them when I was looking to move].
It's about this development.

Now, pray tell how a part time public sector low earner like me is supposed to afford one of these exorbitant luxuries! I don't even qualify for a part buy/part rent mortgage!

Wow! The cheapest one on there (one bed flat) costs about five times my parents house!

Not surprising given the location!

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.

London does not look like that

The apartments are awesome, but I wouldn't want to live in that location. I'm too much of a country girl! :P

I'm fine! Totally fine. I don't know why it's coming out all loud and squeaky, 'cause really, I'm fine!

Who else is fine?!?!?

Fair enough if people want to live somewhere like that, but it's not for me. Even if I bought a place there I'd probably be constantly ushered out of the building based on my scruffy appearance

I've put an offer on the 8.4million one..... do you think they'll accept £84?

£8.4 million for an apartment smaller than my back garden? They're having a giraffe right?

They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.

That is insane!?
I live up north and have a 3 bed semi detached house. I could buy about 5 of my house for the cheapest flat on there!

They are lovely flats, but over priced and to me they seem more like office/studios. They just don't seem homely to me. I like old flats with character. You can't beat a Glasgow tenament flat! I'm so lucky where I live.

I have sent off for brochures for similar places and to my astonishment they do send them. You would think that by checking my address they would have some idea its very doubtful apart from a lottery win i could acquire a property costing several million pounds.

My mum has a 6 bed house with land and stables and its only worth 1.2 mil!

Which is a hell of a lot, but compared to these one bed apartments which are going for the same amount and more!

Do people really want to live in london that much?!

Probably is easier for work! Commuting from suburbia is not much fun, even though suburbia is much nicer..!

I can imagine the buses/underground aren't much fun at commuting time!

I get on a train at commuting time, but I get off before kings cross luckily! Trains are packed by the time I get off :/

I'd rather have my 4 bedroom house in the country than live in one of those. I know you pay for location, but I can't imagine wanting to live in a city ever again.
