I didn't realise he was asking for support, I just gave my opinion, it said share good and bad experiences

Reason: I was wrong, it didn't say share bad experiences. oops. but it's an experience nonetheless, and my opinion on the matter.

I've paid my dues on bad experiences in love. I'm in love with and married to someone who treats me like a freaking goddess, which is more than I deserve and which I'm sure nauseates some people. But like I said, I've paid my dues. There are many types of love and emotions that we label as love. Sometimes it's hard to explain what "in love" means exactly. It can be an all-consuming nightmare of a monster that grinds your soul between its teeth and swallows up what is left of you. It can also be the sweetest thing in the world. Oxytocin <3

Anyways.
I don't think i've ever felt "love" even atm while i'm still trying to impress (right word?) a special lady i'm not in love, in my opinion love comes over time, could be years but that's just my opinion.

I've had bad experiences with regards to love, but they're more than outweighed by the good experiences. My partner and I have been together for three years and he's the first person I felt truly in love with.
Being with someone I love, trust, who I know I can totally be myself with, knowing they won't judge me, knowing I'm safe with them and knowing they love, trust and take care of me is blissful. When my partner and I aren't in the company of others we're so mushy and loved up it must be nauseating for others to witness lol.

Oddly enough the Greeks had a bunch of words for different kids of love and they make sense. Having just one word in English is really difficult situation. Like the stardust and romantic love is one version (Eros) that is early in a relationship. Then when that's done there is the the deeper and more meaningful Agape. Few people get to the second stage - preferring to try and keep the first stage going which doesn't work too well

I have no idea if I've ever been in love. It may have happened, but I have no real way of figuring out if it was/is real or not.

I do find that the greek classifications are quite apt when describing different kinds of love.

Yes, it really is ridiculous that we only use one word to describe so many different emotions. Love isn't all about staring deeply into each other's eyes. It's about looking out on the world together.

The Greeks having multiple definitions of love is one way the NT Bible got screwed up when it was translated from Greek. The phrase "love your enemy" didn't mean be "loving" to the people trying to hurt you. "Agape" was the love intended so the phrase more accurately meant a person should have a kind of spiritual (non emotional) love where they let go of hating an enemy - who is often under a compulsion to hurt.
The purpose of that was for self preservation and protection - since evils seeks to make people mad and angry. Unfortunately a lot of people have sacrificed themselves to bad people under a romantic, Renaissance version of love that seemed to place an enemy's well being over the victims. The reality is that the phrase is meant to protect the victim from the harm done by hating an enemy who seeks exactly that response as a way of making a person fall from grace inside themselves and letting hate in.
