The ps3 is so finicky. My brother turned it off the wrong way last week and I lost all my data so basically I have to play demon souls all over again which drives me insane. Heck my brother was way far ahead of me in the game so he lost all of his data as well. It is so stupid that it will corrupt your data if you don't turn it off right (plus where I live the power goes out occasionally so I can't really help that and it effs up the ps3).
Thanks I will definitely go there on fallout and do that. I like Fallout it is just odd to me since I rarely play first person shooters, the only first person shooter I have really played is Halo and I died a lot in that until I got the hang out it.
One thing about demon souls that drives me nuts is the controls. I am not used to having to press r1 and l1 to attack and not to mention I keep wanting to hit the square button because I am used to using it to block and on demon souls the square button is for your potions so yeah basically I accidentally needlessly use my potions which screws me over when I really need them and they are gone. Personally I thought Dark souls was easier than demon souls, maybe it's because I was used to the controls a bit more but even the fighting seems to be easier than it was in demon souls.
I really miss my xbox360 I had all of my favorite games on it like dragon age origins, mass effect, mass effect 2, and the fable games. *sigh* I need to get dragon age for the ps3 soon or I am going to go crazy since I haven't played it in forever.
I will be getting skyrim soon so I am looking forward to that. I also need to get a new ps2 since the lens on mine has started messing up.
-_- games and consoles are so expensive.

I haven't had much gaming time lately, but I've been watching a Let's Play of Catherine. It's a really weird game, but it looks awesome. The story is great, the gameplay looks really challenging, and I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like it.
The Fallout games are so buggy and glitchy :( I hate that Bethesda release and publish games that can be so broken. I know that every game released now will be subsequently patched to fix some small niggles, but Bethesda need to patch things for major problems. Is their testing and quality assurance that bad?!
Have you ever done any testing? Do you realise how big these games are?
Seriously, testing is the biggest ball ache ever, it isn't surprising that glitches appear after release.
Never forget what you are for the rest of the world will not.
Wear it like armor and it can never be used to hurt you

Get a battery back-up. They aren't that expensive, and I imagine you'll be able to connect it to the PS3, although I'm not totally sure. If the power goes out, it'll give you enough time to save your game and turn off the system safely. And any system that uses a hard drive will be effected by power cuts. Use your computer and you'll probably find that some of your data has been lost or corrupted.

Glitches, yes; main quest breaking and therefore game breaking problems? That's not acceptable, and should be found. RAGE was pretty much unplayable on the PC, for example. Bethesda is a big enough company and should have some level of standards for the products they release or publish under their name. I know people who either simply won't buy a Bethesda game now, or will wait at least six-months to a year before buying it in the hopes that any major problems will be fixed.
Oh my... while rooting around the house looking for a folder I could use for college, I stumbled upon a box of old PS1 games that my sister moved out of the way ages ago. There's some really great ones in there, like the Spyro and Crash trilogies... some not so great ones like Bugs Bunny Lost In Time and The Lost World... and some really terrible ones. I actually forgot that I owned Rascal. It's widely considered one of the worst games ever made, and even as a child I would have agreed.
I even found the demo disc that actually came with the Playstation! It's older than my sister. :P
You can just get a thumb drive and save a data file off the internet.. or get psplus and it automatically saves it do cloud online so you won't have that problem. Ps3 is amazing.
Okay I will definitely look for those since losing my data sucks especially when I worked really hard to get that far in the game -_-
Kingdom of Amalur is taking up so much time *sigh* it isn't a bad game but idk it's a weird rpg. I mean first off you have no companions (you do have people that randomly do missions with you but mostly you are on your own). Then the story is kind of lacking, in the beginning it has an okay storyline that could be good but after playing so many hours and nothing is really developing it kind of gets boring. I don't mind side quests because obviously rpgs have tons of side quests but this is just ridiculous, I am about 40 hours into the game and it is all side quests (not to mention I am only level 18 because in this game it takes a long time to level up, you could do 15 side quests and still not have gained a level.) Usually with games I get invested in the story and my character but in this game I just don't care about any of it because it feels so disconnected. I have no idea why I continue playing it but I do, mostly out of boredom I guess. I really need to get some good rpgs.

Dragon Age: Origins.
Fallout 1, 2, 3
Elder Scrolls; Morrowind, Oblivion, Skyrim.
Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic.
Final Fantasy
Personal favourite even though the creators went bust, it's still playable and probably my favourite game of all time: Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines. So much customisation, really fantastic storyline, challenging and so many ways you can do things. Hnng.
Technically not an RPG but one of my favourite games ever anyway: Bioshock
Most of my favourite games are RPGs. Final Fantasy IX is probably my all-time favourite game, followed closely by FFVI. I'm also a big fan of Oblivion and Skyrim, but not so much Morrowind for some reason. Something about it just kind of rubbed me the wrong way. I've been considering starting Oblivion again, but I'm not sure if that would be wise, since it would probably eat into my college time. And I love the Star Wars: KotOR games. Even the second one, with its huge amount of missing content and its butchered ending.

I had trouble with Morrowind because it looked old, and there was a lot of reading with odd resolutions that didn't fit my monitors. I will try the new mod though...
Morrowind Overhaul 3.0 breathes new life into a classic PC RPG
Just lost all day to games, The old republic this morning, and Mass Effect 3 this afternoon, how easy it is to lose yourself and all track of time.
Fallout 3 and New Vegas I ended up being a stealth melee/sniper once I levelled up enough for stealth to work. Did the same in Skyrim when I played that too. Staying alive's so much easier when the enemy can't see who's killing them :)
It was a bit like cheating in Fallout in certain parts you could climb to a spot the enemies couldn't reach at max range and just snipe deathclaws and super mutants. Not so easy in Skyrim but I did 1 hit a sleeping dragon from stealth once :)
The testing thing, its hard to understand unless you've worked on something like it, but with so many variables and code interactions, its almost impossible to test everything as players will always find something they hadn't considered, especially with an open world RPG - actually its hard for me to understand and I see it everyday that some small change in once place can break something that seems unrelated. That said too many games and programs are released with known bugs to meet a deadline instead of waiting till they were fixed.
I mainly PC game, although I do fire up the Xbox 360 or PS2 from time to time. Mostly play real time strategy games like Company of Heroes, RPG's, or FPS's.
Kind of. Haven't had much time to play since school started.
Okay. I love Assassin's Creed, played each of the games twice. Skyrim's my second favorite, and I'm on my first playthrough still, except that playthrough is 300 hours long. I also like Fallout 3 and L.A. Noire though I suck at both of those.
I found my copy of Empire Earth! Had a bit of trouble installing it on Windows 7, but then I pulled my head out of my ass and tried compatibility mode, and it's all good now.
I'm also very close to 100-percenting LEGO Batman 2. I'm at like 83%. It's been quite an undertaking so far. Just a few gold bricks and vehicles (and Supergirl) to pick up and then I'll finally be done. I'm incapable of leaving a LEGO game at less than 100% completion.
