We have been having some dealings at work with a charity called CALM.
They do like a samaritans type service with trained helpline staff and a website with so much information regarding suicide etc etc, but its aimed specifically at men.

Not all men are cold and unfeeling pieces of metal meant to endure any form of stress or beating. In fact, that's probably the point of having a thread just for males. It's a place for men to talk candidly about their lives without the pressures that society force upon them.
I still don't really understand -_-. I'm not cold but I'm probably gonna come off that way.. I like hugs and polar bears and I can take a beating... I think society has more pressures on females than males.. now if you wanna bring race to the male .. standpoint there is more pessures on white males than black males but that is my opinion. I'm white, but some white men just do tha stupidest **** is why its this way, in my opinion.
Life has changed people care more abou feelin that ever. 15 years ago no body gave a **** what someone felt. Your feeling got hurt, get over it get tha job done.
So yea trying to wrap my head around this but I am unable to for some reason. Sorry if this is offensive but is far from what imm trying to achieve.
You may have noticed that there are a large population of females here that have issues with things that although relatable to most of the memers here, are quite alien to the male population. (think periods and all men are wankers threads). This little thread was created so that the guys could seek some support from people who may be more like minded without having to wade through the girly crap to get it, and also without feeling so many of the social pressures you mentioned above that society often dictates as to how a man shouldfeel or should cope with siuations.

To vent out a bit more. I get out of impatient a little over a month ago. Thought things were going decent, found a job quickly, starting seeing this little girly. The job ****ing blows ass, I worked a 16 hour shift on Thanksgiving (Sup, America) and THEN HAD TO WORK MY GOD DAMN DAYS OFF ON TOP OF THAT BECAUSE THESE LAZY ****S WANTED MORE TIME OFF! Alright, got over that, then on the day before ****ing thanksgiving, the girl I was seeing pops up with SURPRISE I've been ****ing another guy too, Happy Thanksgiving.

Thats a really shitty thing that she did. I dont know if its a saving grace or not.. but at least she told you before you got too 'invested' in her i guess.
Not all girls are arseholes. a lot of them are. a lot of them are emotional sucubusses/succubi (?), but not all of them.
Do you get paid extra for working thanksgiving at least? Do you get time off over christmas?
The extra money I get paid doesn't offset having to spend time around the literal scum of society (prison).
And no Christmas either, or new years. Schedule is already made out. Makes me just want to RIP THEIR GOD DAMN HEADS OFF. In the next 45 days I'll work 42 of them.
As far as women, I of course, agree. It makes me feel very justified in painting with such a broad brush.

ouch. dude youre going to be knackered! I didnt think working that much was even legal?
Could you discuss your hours with them? or perhaps start looking for a different job?
I suppose thats the thing about somewhere like a prison, it doesnt close for the holidays. i used to do nursing and would always work all over christmas.
