Against, because people can change. I think to sentence someone to death is to declare yourself God and say that humans, not some greater power determine whether or not a person is capable of change... Look up the case of Karla Faye Tucker

and because in just the first bit i found what i was ooking for. Here's the is;
she dreses all in black, not in or of itslef a crime granted

they all discusse several ideas efore DECIDING to do thjis,

I have a problem witht he explanation os the guns too...her words" no intent to kill'...then why a f*cking couple of guns???!!!

the cars lights were extinguishes once hey got in the lot (i'll eplain that in a minute)
Felt "immense enjoym, ent" as far as telling ppl she had 3 orgasms,
Then she states' damn b*(tch. I'm gonna kill her",
The next day SOBER i might add, they deemed it 'a small affair'...no big deal tp beat and stab two ppl to death...,
Only feling whe had was "lethargy" FOR HER F*CKING SELF.

every point up there descibes a textbook cae of second-degree murder..if now FIRST degree as one standard of it is PREMEDITATION. wHIS SORRY...BUT THE WHLE DAMN THING IS FULLOF IT.
Yes, they were under the influence, yes friend had been injured repeatedly....does this mean we can alllll now go out and beat/kell anyone who does us wronmg, or a loved one??
I dont know if they excuted her or not (will finish tmorrow)..but im not orry to say she damned well deserved it. WHY shoul SHE have life when his and the other girls parent have a gravestone????

PLS dont hink im, attacking y9u...i want this to be fair where everyone can feel free to state how they feel AND NO FLAMING!!!!!!! not one f*cking bit of it...we're mostly dults, lets treat thi as such, and each other.

My instinct is that i'm for it. So many times, i've heard stories/news of crimes where i've been so appauled that i don't think that person should have the right to live, and should be killed for the safety or the rest of the population. This is usually in extreme cases like serial murder or paedophilia.

However I'm acutely aware of the problems with capital punishment. We can NEVER be 100% sure of someone's guilt. There are always possibilities that someone could have been framed, or a confession could be false due to mental illness or something. There is a risk that a person innocent of that crime could be sentenced to death, and i'm not sure i could agree with killing even a thousand guilty people if one innocent one was amongst them.

I do think that life should mean life, and that people convicted of the worst crimes should not have any luxuries.. ie Television etc, in their cells. They should remain in prison until they die, and they should suffer for what they have done (Again, this raises the question of an innocent person 'suffering' if wrongly convicted, but at least alive they have the chance to appeal etc). None of this 'human rights' stuff... i think you should lose those rights when you take them away from someone else through murder etc.

It's gonna take a long time to love

It's gonna take a lot to hold on

It's gonna be a long way to happy.

Ahhh this is a very ahrd question to answer because there is too mush to take into consideration...

For instance...can people be genetically evil therefore just on the planet to harm others in anyway possible or are they drove to it via their childhood and lifestyle... When a person has repeatedly committed crimes and they have been in jail and those centres that are supposed to change them do they really work?? Does that same person come out feeling all new and shiny and wont do anything again?? I guess in some cases they do but not in all cases..

Is being the way they are actually a bad thing?? They are living their lives on the edge, it just happens that people get harmed along the way, maybe due to their own hand or greed. Do these people actually know when enough is enough and when to stop when others say no to them.. more importantly can anything be done in todays society that will change this...

If capital punishment were reintroduced, it would need to be used as a last resort and also would have to depend on the crime.. but then again it would still result in people, innocent people getting killed when other people who deserve it walk free..

Again that brings up another questions- Do people really deserve to die for their crimes however bad they are?? Can they actually be fixed in their mindset so they wont do it again??

I would agree a much harsher punishment is needed these days to try and fix the problem of ever increasing violence but I dont know whether capital punishment would ever be an answer as it breeches so many human rights and would just result in so many innocent people(who could change) getting killed as apposed to those who deserve. But then are we taking human rights of some people too seriously??

I honestly cant answer that last question yet again and therefore I shall sit on the face on this topic as to say either yes or no would classify no thoughts between the lines on this subject and this is one subject u have to be subjective about..

(nothing I said in this post was a dig at anyone, everyone has their own opinions and I respect that, this post is just my thoughts on the subject)

BUT
I WILL NEVER FORGET THOSE WHO ARE ALWAYS THERE TO HELP ME

I'm for it in extreme cases.
Plus, I'm for making it open to public viewing so I can watch people getting douched without being frowned upon for it.

I actually did vote on for btw.

No.Lifetime(and i mean lifetime) incarciration is a lot better IMO. I dont think theres ever a 100% sure case that the person killed is guilty. Also what crimes would result in death? It doesnt exactly work as a detterent in america does it?i think sorting out prisons in this country is more productive than the decision to start up with capital punishment again.i do have more opinions on this but its too early :P xx

I am against Capital Punishment.

Purely because I belive people should suffer for their crimes. Death is just too easy. Life should mean life. Make jails a place to be feared and a place for people to pay for their crimes.

And stop all this nonsense about 'if i plead guilty - i'll get off' if they plead guilty it just speads up the process, chuck them in there. [just thought I'd add that in, because that really annoys me]

Don't dare to be different. Dare to be yourself.
If that dosen't make you different. Then something is wrong.

Simply killing someone isn't punishment enough in some cases, I think it's an easy way out for them. Locking them up is far worse because they have to live with what they've done.

It’s not always that easy to distinguish the good guys from the bad guys,
Sinners can surprise you and the same is true for saints.
Why do we try to define people with simply good or simply evil?
Because no one wants to admit that compassion and cruelty can live side by side in one heart and that anyone is capable of anything.

I'm against it, personally.
I think life in prison should mean life.
I agree with what Lizzie said, if you're being incarcerated for an extreme crime you should lose any rights.
By 'extreme crime' i mean murder. If you felt it ok to take away someone else's life, and along with that, their rights, you shouldn't be allowed any yourself.
For other serious crimes, such a rape? Life in prison and castration.

against.
people should pay for what they've done.
&sure killing the criminal will "teach" them a lesson, but then they'll be dead. & they won't be paying for what they've done anymore.
life imprisonment is much worse than death i think.
&what they deserve.

I roll over and hold on tightly, and whisper "If they want you, they're gonna have to fight me,"

My only answer = I'm a Quaker.
People have Inner Light and intrinsic worth.
Therefore capital punishment = not an option.

AGAINST.... Because mistakes do happen & there are some corrupt people that will frame people (not very discriptive but I can't think how to word it)

Also.... I think if someone is guilty of murder, killing them instead of putting them in prison is better option to them.

It depends waht you think prison is for... Rehabilitation? Or Punishment?

Death's an easy way out, they aren't paying for what they did.
I think they should just be tortured for the rest of there lives tbh

It's so easy to get lost in constantly having to present
whatever face you believe a person wants to see rather than your own

I agree with this. I'm against capital punishment. If someone has commited a crime that is so appauling then they deserve to pay for it.

And there's often the possibility that someone is innocent. Therefore you would be taking a life for no reason.
It's not for us to decide who lives and dies.
