Hello Katie :) I am Jenna, if that is not already obvious :P
Grim. I'm glad the head of the module is being helpful, and it sounds like it will get sorted out, so maybe try to let it sort itself out and focus on revising?
Ergh, my soonest exam is being mucked about. The office just sent me my separate room details, but the one on the 27th isn't on there.. apparently they're not organising exams before the 31st, and they're not telling me who to talk to, or when the information will be released :( I'm getting into a bit of a flap, I don't really think I can cope with sitting an exam with 90+ people...
Hope your exam went well regardless, talai!

Also, you can call me Katie :) or Captain Rainbow, whichever suits you! I shall take great pleasure in nomming down some of those rainbow cookies!
Daniella, I hope you got some sleep, no sleep at all and cramming tends to be worse for passing exams than going in exhausted... either way, I hope you've done well!
Katie if it makes you feel better, My exams people ignored a part of my requirements and it didn't get sorted until 20 mins into my first exam! I kid you not!
Oh, I totally believe you!g Probably my maddest exam story was when the uni cocked up our first year maths exam- there were 2 of us sitting it in a separate room, and that room they double booked... same with the invigilator. And in this flap, they lost our exam papers! So to cut a longish story short, it took 45 minutes to get us a room, an invigilator, our papers, the formulae book, and a clock! And we ended up in this strange room in the heavy engineering block (which is a bit of a maze) and it was just all weird to think some people had left the exam before ours had started! So yeah guys, lesson is: don't go to Brighton uni.

I remember at school when we did German AEA, we arrived at the exam room and they realised that they didn't have CD players with compatible headphones for us. About an hour of panic ensued, and I think we ended up using laptops, and they just trusted us not go on the internet, and because it was a three hour exam, we were still in school at 5pm. True story :p
Good luck Fi and Jen and Talai and Kia and anyone else on here who has exams today!
I did get some sleep in the end because i was driving myself mad with worry. Well it didn't go as good as i was hoping but British history tomorrow should be good.
I hope they sort it for you soon babe. My college are just as bad when it comes to exam arrangements.
" my precious, precious child, I love you and I would never, never leave you during your times of trials and suffering. When you see only one set of footprints it was then that I carried you" you were carried out of are lifes into the next and when its my time to leave this life I know i will be carried into the next life with you.
I wish i had my world complete again.

My exams are over for this week now. They start again on Monday.
I had General Studies today, so boooring!!
But, I think I shoulda asked for a laptop for it really.
I'm scared I'll lose marks because the person marking it won't be able to read it... Ohdear.
Pure Maths was yesterday, that wasn't quite as bad as I thought it'd be... Pretty bad though. Only did half of one of the papers. :/
But hopefully next week's exams will be better?
How is everyone else doing with their exams atm?

Daniella, sorry it didn't go as well as you hoped :( How was British History?
Fi, do you have a registered medical problem that would let you get a laptop? If you can, it sounds like it might be worth it!
Although I wouldn't worry too much about the handwriting- they'll try their best to decipher it!
Good luck for next week's exams- I hope they go better too :)
I only have a diagnosis of Asperger's, but at my old school they let me have a laptop before I was diagnosed.
Personally I reckon I have mild dypraxia or dysgraphia or something. I dunno. I'll have to ask my mum about it.
I just can't form the letters properly, and sometimes the letters switch places in the words, making me spell wrong. :/
And I've been told by teachers before that if the examiner can't read your writing, they don't take you seriously, and don't try very hard to mark it. :'(
But I have a day off today! Yay! :)

Hmm, there does seem to be a lot of support (especially at uni!) and advice for people who have problems with exams, so I'm sure if you were to ask about it you'd be able to get referred to an educational psychologist or something, and they'd be able to arrange for you to have whatever help you need :)
Well, I dunno, but I've been told my handwriting looks like a spider has vomited on the page, and i've never been marked down :p But obviously it depends on how untidy your writing is, and if you are worried, it might be best to try to find out what other options are available to you.
Hmnmh... Yeah I'll ask someone when I get a chance. :)
Anyone else gonna be doing a little revision over the weekend?
I don't even know what exams I have next week, but once I've checked, I'll be looking through my textbooks.

Oooh me I love rainbow cookies!
Anyways, I'm hopefully starting a Nursing Degree in september if I get the grades :D
I'm just going to alternate between religion and sociology revision really, so I don't get too bored!
How did it go? Also, thankyou :) it means a lot :)
*hands Tasha a rainbow cookie*
Woww, nursing, cool! Why do you want to do nursing? And where are you doing it at? Sorry, bombardment of questions :-/
Yeah, alternating sounds like a good plan, and if you take a look at the first page of this thread, (before I kind of waylaid the revision tip sharing with my rainbow cookies and interrogations), there's some good tips for revision. And don't forget to take lots of breaks from revision, to give your brain a chance to digest the information :)
And uhh, I screwed up my exams. Not epically badly, and I'll hopefully still get a first overall, but I should of worked harder!
*waves*
Have a look at the first posts in this threads? Some people had some good ideas :)
As for revision timetables, I find it helpful to get yourself a big calendar, so you can see when all your exams are, and work out how much time you will reasonably be able to dedicate to revision each day. Then try to divide your time relatively equally between all your subjects, but allow more time for ones that you find more difficult. I tend to take it further and divide each subject into sections/chapters and then decide a day when I will revise each of those, to make sure they get done, but that might fall more into the category of procrastination than revision planning, I'm not sure...
First exam tomorrow :S slightly nervous but feeling OK. Still, finally got the room arrangements sorted so I'm pretty happy! Just had my viva voce (sort of an oral exam, defending my final year project) and it actually went really well!
Hope everyone else's exams are going well xx
