Ok so for many of you on here who might have seen my posts around the place, i had applied to study photography in the Dublin Institute of Technology and also Dun Laoghaire Art, Design and Technology college.
Well I had to hand in portfolios just over a month ago, and today I received the first letter from DIT with my results.
Unfortunately I was not successful and so I'm quite upset. Photography is my dream, its what I want to do in my future as a career,
Also Dun Laoghaire Art, Design and Technology college is harder to get into then DIT, so i'm pretty upset at the moment.
I have a few photo-shoots coming up of people, and bands, and i possibly have a wedding in July.!
I'm pretty unsure of my path to take now, as I have sort of decided that maybe photography is not for me.. I probably wont take up the camera for a while now..
Anyone know any other way of completing a photography course??
reassure me that you'll wait for me, wait for me as long as it takes. And i'll hold my breath, i'll hold my breath,
Are you on model mayhem by any chance? I know that you could expand your portfolio massively there if you were. Im sorry - I dont know anything about photography courses - I do a lot of modelling though if you ever needed anything. Im in the city centre.

Yeah - set up a profile - and contact models in your area. At first it will be mostly 'trade for portfolio' work but after a while you may find paid work. Its really started me off brilliantly on my modelling career. Its worth a shot. You could always get in touch with photographers on there and get their advice too. Theres a good few IADT/DIT students on there too :)
Can I study with the OU if I am living anywhere in the world?
