Wow, I didn't realise that; it has gone quick!
I haven't enjoyed it half as much as the other series to be honest. I keep watching, hoping it will improve, but it hasn't. Oh well.
rubbish ending! its taking a bit too much of a direction away from the other series - think the next series will be much darker with franky and such but its a slow starter. (i vote rich has better long hair - he looks like jason from hollyoaks with short hair)

I just watched the last episode, I'm sad now it's over even though I didn't exactly like this series. I'm not normally a fan of long hair but I prefer it on Rich. Watching series 4 now, Emily <3. Does anyone know the name of the song playing in series 1 when Cassie tries to kill herself on the bench? thanks.
I think what I didn't like about this series was that it felt like it was trying to be far too over-the-top.
Plus I didn't really like any of the characters, tbh. They were just there, never had an interest anywhere close to the interest with Cassie or many of the first 2 series group, for example.
The other problem I had with the characters was that with pretty much all of them, you could tell there was something deeper to them but this was never really explored, it was just like the writer said, "Know what? I could go into why Frankie doesn't seem to like physical contact or explore another character but nah... I'll just write that they go to another party and get wrecked again and worry about who is interested in each other."
What also felt strange to me that the Cook/Freddie thing at the end of series 4 wasn't mentioned at all.
Yeah, I get the complete clean break from the last series is good in a way and I respected the writer(s) in series 3 for not just dragging all the old characters back but my problem came from it would be that if it's supposed to pretty much just follow on from then, then surely it would be mentioned somewhere consider what happened. (Awkward sentences to avoid spoilers.)
Might go back and watch the first 2 series, remind myself that it was actually good once.

Well the actor that plays rich has hair that short naturally so I suppose that had something to do with it. I kind of like it. The long hair was nice too but I feel like it was in his face all the time and it kind've annoyed me a bit because I'd hate it if I never tucked my hair behind my ears! lol. It did really fit his character though. I cant really see rich with short hair listening to metal. hmm..

I mean I didn't really like it at all but then it's still Skins and there's probably little bits here and there I missed first time around. Hmm what to do?

this! even a paper that mentioned it would have been nice - at least the second generation had effy who was able to mention generation one so it was the same show - this was just like a new show!
have to say i want to know the little bits about the characters like frankys story and why mini always has her hand covering her tummy just little bits that could have made them interesting people but i assume thats for next series.

Are you forgetting the major cliffhanger of S2? Left it there and no apologies or conclusion...expect the same next year with this group.
Other than S1 the odd numbered seasons have dissapointing finales.
This Liv/Franky/Mini triangle just looks like a rehash of JJ/Freddie/Cook really & most of the other characters are simply evolved moulds of the original gang. Still, it'll keep going as long as the ratings stick with it. I don't Skins could survive if the ratings drop.

Series 2 was fine to end like that, no more needed to be said and it worked but when something as serious happened in the same territory as series 5 at the end of series 4, it's that sort of thing that should at least have been mentioned on the front of a newspaper in one of the shots.
And I think that's how all TV shows work :P
