There is a documentary called CUT: Teens and Self Injury by Wendy Schneider. It was actually featured at the Wisconsin Film Festival (where I went to school) a few years back, but I heard about it after the screenings, sadly, so I never saw it. If you google it, she has a website. It features interviews with teens and celebrities like Juliette Lewis and Shirley Manson. I think you have to purchase it though on DVD, but I have been considering buying it for awhile, just because it's more of an independent project type thing, which I appreciate. You could try You Tubing it, but I doubt it is on there.
Also, PBS has some good documentaries...I can't think of any off of the top of my head, but the series Frontline might have something? Not sure though.
This may not be quite what you're looking for, but there is also this movie called Hunger by the artist Steve McQueen, which is f*cking AMAZING. It's about the 1981 Irish Hunger Strike and portrays a character depicting Bobby Sands and his experience in the Maze Prison in Ireland leading up to the hunger strike....I will warn you, it is extremely violent and can trigger ED/self-injury/drug use type stuff. There were times it was painful to watch - IE: police brutality, etc. However, there is a lot of beautiful religious symbolism/metaphor as well. (It is primarily catholic, which I could pick up on easily b/c I grew up in it, though I don't practice it.) It is an all around powerful film, but rather difficult to watch. On my list to buy, for sure, though.
I can't think of anything else at the moment, but if I do, I will let you know. Sorry not all of my suggestions are online, but they are worth renting and/or purchasing!
