Had an Argument with my mum:(:( PLEASE HELP

To cut a long stoy ahort, i was skint and it;s my friends birthday today who died a few months back.

I asked my mum for a fiver so i could get a couple of pints in the pub to "have" 2 Pints for my mate and she gave me it and of course i will pay her back and to my mums's routine our dinner is ALWAYS At 5pm ...she's 80.

And she asked when i will be in and i told her that i would be in before 5pm and infact probably before 4.30pm...

So i just come in at 4.45pm in the front door and she screams at me "WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN??,DINNER IS RUINED" IM LIKE"WTF" and i told her she knew where i was and she said"you said you would be in before 4.30pm and i said"Mum,That's not EXACTLY what i said" so AGAIN when there is this type of argument and dinner time she makes mine and goes and sits in the huff and watches tv and does not have anything for HER Dinner.

And for the zillionth time she told me" That is US finished, dont talk to me"

Thoughts please,im hurt and confused. i'm sticking to my guns as i know i was not in the wrong.

can anyone see what has happend here??

Older people can get things mixed up/confused and forget them. My Nan's 83 & often tells us thing we already know about and can be stuck in her ways. We just take it all with a pinch of salt and occasionally bite our tongues. So maybe that's the case with your Mum? Try not to let it get to you xxx

Have left RYL.

Im leaning towards she HAS got herself mixed up, it;s the only thing that i can think of, she's giving me the attitude of"Im right and you know it vibe at the moment"
