I thought it was AMAZING! The whole Scrooge thing can sometimes seem overplayed, but I thought it was wonderful. Plus I can now realised why everyone was raving about Katherine Jenkins:P Matt Smith is really good - I hate how people keep comparing him to David Tennant, because he isn't another David Tennant - he's Matt Smith (!!!). He has his own crazy style, and it's good:)
I thought it was good, unfortunately my watching of it was interrupted by nan constantly going on about the good old days of television and how the BBC now is wasting license payers money
Some men aren't looking for anything logical, like money.
They can't be bought, bullied, reasoned or negotiated with.
Some men just want to watch the world burn.
I just watched it! (recorded it) I thought it was brill! I like doctor who in general and tbh i don't like love stories at all, but the story was quite good.
I wish there was less 'timey-wimey', it's just an easy cop-out and it goes against a lot of things. Also, where are the time paradoxes?! I found it a fairly average, watchable episode. Not nearly as good as the episode with the two Doctors though, that was my favourite Christmas one.
I really enjoyed the episode (even thought I agree that it was a bit flawed in some aspects). It was a nice twist on a classic story, and I'm enjoying Matt Smith as the Doctor
I really liked it.
I really didn't like Katharine Jenkins though... it was a bit like 'oh, she wants to be in it but can't act so lets make her voice a big part of the episode'.
I just thought it was a bit of a cop out. >_<
And until about 5 minutes ago my family was under the impression that the 'scrooge' characters name was an anagram of Charles Dickens, but it isn't =[
Amy Pond is smokin' though.
But as others were saying here too it annoyed me about young and old scrooge hugging... I mean its not like it was a tiny law of time and space that that can't happen, its a big stinking huge law that it cant happen! Look at the fuss the 9th doctor kicked up and the mess it made when Rose held herself as a baby for just a second!
That's what I was thinking too! Rose did it and the universe nearly ended!
I liked the episode - I loved the way the Doctor showed him his future - "I'm doing it right now", and the little boy was standing there watching them.
best christmas special yet. i like it when things aren't explained, during the russel t era everything had to have an explanation and it got pretty ridiculous with things sounding very sciency and cool but still leaving me with no idea how something actually happened.
awful ending though.
we're falling apart, together.
why can't i feel anything for anyone other than you?
damn...i thought it was pretty bad >.<
i do love matt smith though :)
i'll put it down to plot lines :)
*reads back* i actually got really worked up at my family about the man and boy being able to touch each other (i tried, i really did, but that cannot be written without sounding very wrong >.<)
i got kicked out of the room :P
