I'm a bit astonished that no-one has posted about this. How good, at a time of gloom and austerity, to have a bit of good news and happiness. And for those already whingeing about the cost of a Royal Wedding, I'll bet the increased tourist revenues will more than adequately cover it.

^ I suppose because we're british, we see it as more than 'famous people' getting married because it directly affect our royal family :P

I like how Kate (or Catherine as she may be known in future) is called a 'commoner'. There really isn't anything 'common' about her!

Anyway, yes, I have no problems with the royal family and have great respect for the Queen. William seems like a nice guy who will hopefully in the footsteps of his gran, but Kate doesn't really seem cut out for the pressures that will come with the position.

i love weddings and with a royal wedding you get to laugh at the souvenir mug adverts which is pretty good (no, there isn't much to do here)

I was happy for them until all my local news consists of is; "HEY LOOK GIRL FROM BERKSHIRE GETTING MARRIED TO PRINCE SQUEEEEEEEEE!" And I can't read about anything else. ><
