peeling potatoes

Ok I know Im right here need someone to tell me Im not going to be admitted again
would you ? or would you not ?
wash a potato if you were peeling it anyway and then washing the like inside of it ?
why wash if removing peel
please save me from insanity

It became like a sort of prison. Encased in a silver shell, words so full of bleeding need spilled like drops on dry leaves. And all the while laughter prevailed a long way from here. Nowhere land, nowhere time, nowhere space.

I would, but only because when I was a kid my mum told me that potatoes are easier to peel when they're damp. Nothing to do with the dirt. Just one of those weird things, I guss.

I don't really think it matters either way, tbh.

To prevent the dirt from getting on the unpealed parts?

I wash them if they look really dirty but other than that, I wash them afterwards.
In all fairness, I never peel potato's but on the odd occasion that I do then, that's how I do it :)

I rarely ever peel potatoes. On that note, I rarely actually eat potatoes, and when I do I don't peel them - so I wouldn't know really, haha.

If I'm peeling potatoes for cooking, I always peel them first and then wash them.

if the potato isn't actually covered in an inch of mud then I don't wash it at all.

If its straight out of the ground I wash it first so I can see what I'm doing.

But I don't suppose it matters.

Mostly I fill the washing up bowl part way up with water, peel the potatoes in that (because you can rinse the peeler so it peels easier). If the potatoes were really dirty I'd rinse them off after peeling them.

I normally buy the washed ones so I don't wash them

Sounds like my dad, you MUST wash the carrots before and after you peel them even if you bought them pre-washed. He also washes onions which is plain odd.
Personally I hardly wash anything unless its got mud on it, you're going to peel off the dirt and then boil it anyhow right?

That's what I do.

Don't know why, just the way my mum does it.
