Take the battery out to dry, then put it in a bag of rice for 24 hours to draw out the moisture. In all luck, the battery will not have shorted out the phone and it will be fine once its all dry. You can test the phone after a day by plugging it into the charger and seeing if it turns on without the battery.
If it turns on with the charger but not with the battery, that means you just have to replace the battery.
This method saved my phone after i dropped in a bucket of water a few months ago. Hope it works for you too!

that sucks, when it happened to me (mom was being "helpful" offering to wash my coat lol) I put mine in the airing cupboard for a few days and it worked fine after that. Although there's a website called prepaymania that's really reasonable for mobile phones. http://www.prepaymania.co.uk/
You can get a phone with £10 credit on for a total of £15 with T Mobile if that's of any help? I hope you can get something sorted.
