First it was SARS, then Asian Flu, then regular flu, then Bird Flu, then Swine Flu, then a full range of MRSA and various other super bugs.
Every year the papers report some new disease that's going to be the new black plague and finish us all off and leave hundreds of thousands dead.
And every year it's never as bad as they say it will be. Like with swine flu, a few thousand people got sick world wide and only 46 died. 46 people world wide when the papers claimed millions would drop.
So this year we have the new superbug from India NDM-1 that's supposedly resistant to all antibiotics.
And already the papers think millions of us will catch it and die because there's no way to stop it! PANIC!!! RUN FOR THE HILLS...BRING DETTOL!
So excuse me if I don't get into a flap and have panic attacks like the media wants me to. I think we'll get out of this just fine.

Swine flu wasn't actually that bad, when I had it I was just sick for 7 freaking weeks. Only bed-ridden for a week and a half though. I have also never had a flu shot, that could be why I was sick so long.
