Watched 'District 9' at the weekend. I would highly recommend it, a great wee film.

Against my will, I saw The Lovely Bones today. I've heard all of the hype over it, and the book, but I just wasn't interested. I thought it sounded like just another silly little ghost-related sob story. Also, it has a stupid title.

It was a f*cking brilliant movie though. A silly ghost-related sob story it may be, but it's a damn good one. It very nearly got a tear out of me.

The dialogue kind of sucked - the love scenes are downright stupid and there was one line that was supposed to be serious but left everyone in the theater in stitches ("I want him DEAD... and COLD... with NO BLOOD IN HIS VEINS!" F*cking priceless), but the performances were, for the most part, fantastic and Peter Jackson did an amazing job directing.

I still think the title is ridiculous, but I approve of The Lovely Bones. I might just have to give in to the hype and read the book.

Saw Edge of reason the other week - was good until the end
Percy Jackson and the Lightening Thief - really enjoyed, though obviously aimed to make younger teens laugh! Still liked it!

Solomon Kane: not sure what I thought of it, really. A bit too Christian-themed, very predictable, but was good enough to watch without getting bored. Nice music.

I watched 'Fido' last night. It's a Canadian zombie comedy set in the '50s, and I really don't understand why it's not more well known!
It's really quirky and strange, right up my street :)

I watched Requiem for a Dream for the first time last night. It was really, really good and made me think maybe Jared Leto isn't so useless. But my god, it's awfully depressing.
