Getting sick and wanting to eat...
So i'm getting sick. You know, that throat swelling, cough, headache... just plain icky feeling? Yeah. I'm there. But the problem (as if being sick isn't bad enough) is that I'm starting to get mahoosive cravings for junk food! But I don't want to go there! Not only can I not afford it, I've been pretty darn good lately and I know if I start eating junk i'm gonna feel pretty icky (more icky). But not eating junk is making me feel anxious. It's messed up.
I guess I just need a little support that i'm doing the right thing.

There are times to stay put, and what you want will come to you.
But there are times to go out into the world and find such a thing for yourself.
I aint no abacus but you can count on me.

Ah, I'm sorry. That's a horrible feeling, I know I always get like that when I'm sick too. You are doing the right thing though, and you're being so strong, I'm really impressed! Remember that there are nice things you can eat that are still healthy.. like maybe make some smoothies or something? It's healthy so it's good for when you're sick and whatnot, but it's still yummy. Or is there any food that you find comforting that isn't necessarily bad? When I'm either ill or just really down I find it makes me feel better to eat kind of childish food, like mashed potato with spaghetti hoops, or soup, or whatever. That's just me, but I don't know, maybe there's something similar you could do. If you think it would help rather than just leave you wanting more, you could treat yourself to something nice, but just buy one thing rather than lots. But I don't know whether that's practical for you. Whatever you do, though, don't worry about it too much - just focus on looking after yourself and getting better!
Sorry if that was entirely unhelpful but I hope you feel better soon! & yes, you're doing the right thing xx

Jess, since you're not feeling so hot, what about having some soup and saltines? The Brat diet can help when sick. If you're not familiar with the BRAT diet, it means Bananas,Rice,Apple Sauce and Toast. Also, keep drinking juice.
