Triggering (SI) - Habit :/
Basically, before I used to self harm occassionaly, maybe once a week at most.
But lately it's become every single day, like a habit. I do some sort of self harm every day :( I think it's because my depression is getting worse. The self harm is getting worse with it. And it can't carry on. I don't know how to get myself out of this cycle of self harm :S because it's the only thing that makes me feel a little bit better for a bit. :(

Conceal me what I am, and be my aid for such disguise as happilly shall become the form of my intent..
...Everybody is somebody else's weirdo.
"we could mix all three, the two gendered and the one non-gendered, "she", "he", and "it", to make "shi...". No, nevermind, that won't work either..."

*many hugs*
I wish I could tell you that SH is like any other habit and it only takes three weeks of hard work to change it, but unfortunately its usually alot harder than that.
Distractions are key, especially in the beginning, and you'll quickly find out which ones work and which ones dont... you could also make an uh-oh box or list of things to do before you can harm yourself... if you need ideas there is a huge list on the fun and distractions page.. its stickied at the top.
You also have to find another way to let out the feelings behind it, maybe through some sort of art, music, sports... sometimes just talking into a tape recorder might help.

this is my magical medicine cabinet. Left to right they contain: courage, hope, calmness, and strength.
The magical part: They NEVER run out, so borrow some any time you want.
PM me anytime, I love getting messages :)

Have you talked to anyone about your self harm? that is probably the first step to recovering. One thing that has helped me is whenever i want to cut, i call somebody. I don't necessarily tell them i want to cut. I just call them to talk. Usually after i have a conversation with someone i feel better. Trying to distract yourself with something is a great way to beat the urges. Do something you love to do. you can message me anytime. i check my email everyday and am on ryl almost everyday. hope you feel better.

I can fly, I can fly among the clouds
All I need are a pair of wings,
outside help, and a little faith
You are valuable, don't let anyone tell you differently.
