I know what you mean. However i think it's very difficult to draw the line between what is a pretty picture that happens to contain someone who is quite slim to what is pro ED.

However if you do see pictures that you think cross the boundary between what is acceptable and not you can report one of that persons posts and tell the mods you think their signature or avatar is triggering and then it can be decided if it's an appropriate image or not.

Thats y i don't report any avatars or pics,I don't want to be unfair cuz i feel that it would be different from one person to another.

Maybe if you spot something that bothers you, you could drop a polite PM t the person just pointing out that it affected you? Or if it's blatantly posed or explicitly posted for the 'thin' side of things.. report it.

I wouldn't call it stupid, there are so many delicate people out there that can be triggered by what may be considered Pro Ed avatars. I think It's a fair point to make to be honest. Each person struggles with different things, and what may not trigger one person, may trigger another.

Thing is, the mods do discuss things like this if there is any ambiguity as to whether it is or isn't 'pro' - so even if it feels stupid to you for reporting it, they can discuss it and come to a conclusion so you're not being the only one feeling it :)

Tbh, I haven't seen any pro/bordering-on-pro avatars or signatures of late...

..or maybe I'm just very naive.

This rule always annoys me, especially if it just happens to be about something else.

I once had a girl with a red necklace around her neck and someone asked me to remove it, as "it looked like blood."

ridonkulous, especially as you could see it was a necklace.

If an avatar is, in your oppinion, pro-ED or has triggered you, chances are others migth feel the same way. If you report an avatar/signiture/profile picture, often the mods will discuss it, and removal or non-removal depends on the oppinion of the majority. The rare cases where it is not discussed is when there is no 'grey area' as to weather it is rule breaking or not.

Hope that helps.

to be honest
i can see that people may object to their avatars being deemed unsuitable
BUT
there is like 20 billion avatars out there, you can easily find another you like and suirely its worth being a little over cautious if it stops people being triggered to
look at pro sites or cut or whatever else
i mean, if it keeps even 1 person from feeling bad then surely its ok to be cautious about avatars

^ Exactly. I had one once that *I* felt was fine. I liked the fashion shot. Someone PM'ed me and told me they found it triggering, so I found a new one *shrugs*.

What? I haven't noticed anything about your avatars?

I think there is a line to be drawn, but generally I wonder if people have to walk around with their eyes closed outside the house to avoid being triggered or something, because quite frankly on RYL it gets ridiculous.
