There's no point missing out just because someone can't make it! Go on your own, enjoy the gig, sell the spare ticket to a tout if you can, make up some of the moeny. Seriously, it's not as bad as it sounds.

I know but I am really annoyed as it's like she gave me hardly any notice... I have a choice of doing something else on that day anyway so I may do that instead.
